Saudade [COMPLETED]

Chapter 40

Maaga akong bumangon dahil hindi naman nakatulog kagabi. What happened last night keeps on playing in my head.

Pagkatapos mag ayos ay nag luto ako ng breakfast at tumakbo. 4:30 am and I'll go back at 6am.

I jog in to the sea shore going back and forth. It's refreshing and It helps me clear up my mind.

Dahil sa madalas na pag takbo roon ay naisip ko rin na bumili na ng lote at magpatayo ng bahay roon.

I am really thinking of settling my life here because this place is paradise.

Mabuti na lang at ang mga lupa dito ay hindi kasing mahal ng lupa sa syudad na mauubos ang lahat ng naipon ko kung bibili ako. I can still afford to have a little property here. Hindi nga lang ang kotse, I'll go broke if I buy one, or maybe a Vios can do? Hindi ko pa sigurado but surely I can't have a luxury car like the one I have in Manila.

Naisip ko na rin na I'll be selling my artwork anonymously so that it can provide me money and designing houses in the nearby towns too.

My offshore money is enough to sustain my living for the next 5 years. DZ and Szechna were smart enough to suggest that I should have one.

Ala-sais ng makabalik ako. Tanaw ko ang busangot na mukha ni Keggan sa veranda mula sa kinatatayuan ko.

Too grumpy for the morning eh?

Umakyat ako sa hagdan na bato papunta sa veranda.

"I already cooked breakfast, kumain kana?" Tanong ko at habang nag pupunas ng pawis sa leeg.

I saw his eyes linger on my neck a bit bago kumunot ang noo.

"What time did you wake up? I was up at 5am and I searched for you nearby but you were nowhere to be found." Tanong niya na iritado at imbes na sagutin ang tanong ko.

"I woke up at 4am and I went out at 4:30am. Tulog ka pa." I shrugged and enter the house.

Sumunod siya saakin.

"Next time you should at least tell me. What if it's not safe for you? I'll hold responsible for you dahil ako ang kasama mo." Masungit na sabi niya. Napa-iling at ngiti ako. He's so cute when his grumpy.

"Relax, I was alone here for the past weeks and I know everyone already. Not a single soul will do me harm here. Now have you eaten breakfast? Sabay na tayo." I gave him my sweetest smile at pumunta na sa dining area.

He helped me set up the plates at nilagyan ako ng kape sa tasa.

"I'll go to Mildred's house later and apologise to aleng Irma for what happened yesterday. I'll be back before dinner. Everything you need is in the fridge and cabinet." Pahayag ko pagkatapos mag hugas ng pinagkainan.

I don't know but I like cooking and doing the chores for him, makes me prove that I'm no longer the Hailey she knew, yung walang alam sa buhay at sunod-sunuran. USA changed me for the better and I didn't regret leaving then.

"I'll join you." Sabi niya at dali-daling pumasok sa kwarto na inu-ukupa.

I wasn't able to protest dahil mukhang nag hahanda na ata sa pag alis.

I deep sigh.

Mabilis rin akong natapos sa pag aayos. Wearing a baby blue Sunday dress I went out of my room ready.

Prenteng nakaupo si Kegann at kagaya ng madalas gawin sa living room ay ang panonood ng basketball.

"Let's go?" He asked turning the tv off.

I nodded at pasimpleng hinagod ng tingin ang suot at ang katawan niya.

He's wearing a baby blue short sleeve button down shirt and a white maong pants.  Nakabukas pa ang ilang butones noon sa dibdib! I want to to close it for him kung hindi lang parang naka couple outfit kami ay tuluyan na akong maiinis.
