As much I wanted to ditch the conference because he's there, I can't. I just can't imagine of many possible words that dad would throw at me plus my team needs me.

I freshen up a bit and followed him on the conference room bringing all the things he needs.

"Good morning everyone, especially Mr. Frank. Thank you so much for personally meeting us here and flying thousand miles." They shake each other hands, same with the board members.

"As we all know my great engineers and architects are here to present the proposed design for your branch expansion here in the Philippines, I personally check it and approve that this design is the one you're looking for and I am 100 percent confident about it." Everyone laughed with his confidence.

Ang sarap gibain ng confidence na yan.

"Base on the sample drafts that you guys have already sent I am satisfied already, I have no doubt." Magiliw na sabi ni Mr. Frank. They clap as if nakapag present na. Edi wow.

"Engr. Avila and Architect Suarez may you please?" The presenters came in front and present.

Lucky gestured that I should sit beside him. I was standing behind him earlier cause that's what the secretary here do.

I was intently looking and listening to the presenter and checking everything without being bothered by Lucky's piercing cold stare.

They all clapped when the presentation was done. Mr. Frank was very satisfied with it and we all know for a fact that this is a done deal.

Everyone was pleased most especially me. I worked so hard for this project.

Some of the board members is congratulating me and my team. Some already left.

"Hailey darling! It was so nice seeing you again! We miss you in New York." I came near him and gave him a hug. Uncle Dave is like a father to me in NY, he's my guy best friend's father.

"Nice to see you too uncle Dave." I smiled sweetly.

"As much as I would want to spend more time here I have a flight to catch going to Bangkok but I'll see you soon sweetie. Great job!" He again gave me a hug and went out with the rest of the board.

"Ma'am Hailey! Ang galing mo talaga approved ang design mo! Sayang nga lang at Hindi ikaw ang nag present." Engr. Avila and Engr. Ellano came near me and Architect Suarez.

I just smiled. My dad would be fuming mad if I present it. His stand is if you're good at what you're doing people will notice you, so you don't need to volunteer yourself. Ayaw niya sa bida bida it's cheap for him. He likes being low-key that's why he likes Lucky so much cause he believe he's low-key. Low-key my shit?

"Great job engineer Avila, architect Suarez and your team." My dad smiled at them.

"Thank you so much Mr. Mendres but this is all with the great effort of your daughter! She's a genius!" Proud na proud na sabi ni Engr. Avila he's already in his mid 50's and he guided me all throughout.

"She's learning from you so you guys are the geniuses! Still she has a lot to learn." My father just looked at me blankly.

The team is still talking to him while going out of the conference room. Lucky joined them and I am here left alone.

Stay tough heart. I punched my heart repeatedly to convince myself to be tough. After all, ni masabihang good job anak Hindi padin pala.

I just fix the stuff on the conference room and was about to go out when I saw Lucky standing there. I rolled my eyes.

Lalagpasan ko na sana siya but he caught my hand and close the conference room and did the most stupid thing ever. Hug me.

I tried to get away but my body turned jelly.

The next thing I knew I'm crying.

"I'm sorry." He said.

"Just get out of my sight please! Will you?" I sobbed loudly. His hug tighten.

"I can't Haiz, I just can't let you go." He's still hugging me and caressing my hair.

"You're the worst!" I spat.

"I don't care, for as long as I have you." My mind couldn't process the hate that my heart is sending.

"Don't ever hug me again!" I stormed out of the conference room.

I only return to my table when I made sure his out of the office. I already prepared everything for him he doesn't need me anymore.

I was invited by the engineers and the architects for our little celebration for the done deal but I'm too tired. This day consumed so much of me physically, emotionally and mentally.

I'm finishing up some work for Lucky's schedule and project. Studying every bit of it before I go out of the office.

"10pm na ma'am ikaw nanaman ang huli." Puna ni Kuya Cesar. Nakapag change shift na sila ni kuya Eduardo pero andito pa din ako.

"Marami pong tinapos e." I politely answered.

"Sige po ma'am Hailey, mag ingat po kayo pauwi." Sumaludo siya saakin bago ko pina andar ng tuluyan ang sasakyan.

Sa condo ako ngayon uuwi. I cannot afford to take another blow from my parents tonight, I'm so drained.

I prepared a Caesar salad for my dinner, if I wasn't hungry I won't be eating but my stomach is bothering me a lot.

I opened the tv and watched something entertaining.

My phone beeped.

[ "I'm already on board, good night Hailey you have good sleep.-Lucky Blue Saleco." ]

I just throw the phone on the loveseat.

Wala akong pakialam. Matagal ng naubos ang paki ko.
