Chapter 49

"Amore..." Tita called.

Pinalis ko ang mga luha ko bago subukang tingnan siyang muli.

"I'm sorry Tita but the rumours really aren't true. You probably won't believe me but it's the truth." Subok ko kahit hirap na hirap na ang damdamin ko.

I'm having a hard time right now because I couldn't just let this pass knowing the person who's doubting me is the mother of my fiancé. Kahit mahirap I'll always explain. Kahit mahirap I will win her trust back.

When you love someone it's not right to be selective, for love isn't selective. Love encompasses everything so you have to love the people whom the person you love loves as well.

"I'm sorry amore..." Tita said apologetically. There was sympathy and concern in her eyes.

"I didn't intend to hurt your feelings, i was just concern for my son." She added.

I nodded my head as I brush off some tears.

"I understand Tita, you're his mother so I know that you just want the best for your son. I am not yet the best for him I know, considering the pain I have caused him, I would probably never deserve him...

But believe me Tita, I'm working so hard to deserve him, to be the one for him. I love your son. More than anything in this world I love him..."

My tears started streaming down again. One tear after another.

"Oh amore!" Tita came in my place and helped me wipe my tears.

Nang mahimasmasan ay pinainom niya ako ng tubig. Worry still etched on her face.

"I really didn't cheat Tita." Napapaos na sabi ko.

She nodded at me and caressed my hair.

"I believe you amore. I never doubted you anyway. It's just that I was so upset with the news and sad for my son that he's being put in the middle of this scandal. I know I shouldn't be meddling with my son's relationship but believe me hija, once you're already a mother you will understand me." She said, her voice was laced with pure sincerity.

I nodded at her.

"I do understand Tita, I really do. You want the best for your son and I am too. I want the best for him. Once the investigation is done I'll issue a statement and clear everything up." I said in all honesty.

She nodded and smiled at me.
A smile of relief.

"I'm sorry too about what Vanessa told you amore, please understand that she's been in love with Kegann ever since and she's deeply hurt that he's already engaged, so her emotions is all around..." Tita held in to my left hand where the ring is and caressed it.

"Congratulations on your engagement. I know the both of you will end up together for you have been what Kegann prayed for."

My heart melt at what she said and so I hugged her. She hugged me back.

"Thank you for being Kegann's mother Tita Isabella. I'll surely take good care of him the same way you have taken good care of him." I said and smiled to assure him that I'll cherish his son the same way he cherished his son.

We still enjoyed having a dinner after the roller coaster ride of emotion. I was glad that I was able to explain my side to her because her opinions of me will always matter, and I intend to keep my relationship with her nicely and bonded the same way I have fixed my relationship with my parents, for she will too will become my second mother.

Nang matapos ang dinner ay pumunta na ako sa penthouse ni Kegann. He isn't around yet so I decided to cook dinner for him. After gathering ingredients on his cupboard and fridge I started chopping onions, garlic and the chicken for the dish I'll be cooking. Once done, I sautéed it all together and leave it for few minutes, covering it with it's lid. Nag saing ako at naupo sa high stool chair upang hintayin ang pag kaluto noon.
