Chapter 48

Nakalabas na ako sa hospital pagkatapos ang dalawang araw na pananatili. Kegann told me to rest for 3 more days dahil nangangamba pa rin siya sa kalusugan ko. I told him I'm really fine at kaya ko ng bumalik bukas sa trabaho.

"Love I was half day last Friday and now Monday absent pa. I can go back to work na, I'm really okay na! swear!" Pilit ko sakanya habang pinag lalaruan ang mga daliri niya.

His right arm is wrapped around my body and my head is in his chest. We're sitting on his grey couch on his penthouse. It's my second time here, first was when he cooked dinner for me last week. Unlike their house, his penthouse is minimalist, gray, black, cream and touch of gold were the colours dominantly seen.

He didn't answer me at nakatuon lang ang attention sa TV. Purposely ignoring my plea.

"Kagaya ngayon love, you should be working in the office but you're with me." I pouted at him at tinanaw siya.

He looked at me for a while bago isnaberong bumaling sa TV muli.

"I can work from home Love. Mas panatag ako." He said and I felt his arms tightened on my waist a bit.

"But love..." I reached for his lips and touched it. It's so red.

He deep sigh and looked back at me.

"Alright, you can go back to work but don't overwork okay? Or else I'll file your resignation myself." He said na ikinatawa ko.

"I know you can't do that love. You're strict and very discipline about everything, but when it comes to me, you bend every rule of yours and even break it. Kaya alam ko kapag ginusto ko ibibigay mo." I kidded and laughed triumphantly.

He didn't laugh though.

"You sure does know your effect on me huh?" He said sounding so problematic.

I peck a kiss on his lips, one peck after another.

"But you don't know your effect on me. Hindi mo alam how I get very excited when your green ardent eyes sparkle, Hindi mo alam how I feel giddy when you wrap your hands around me, or when our hands are intertwine, Hindi mo alam how elated I am every time you told me you miss me and you love me, hindi mo alam how my heart leap for joy just by seeing you, at hindi mo alam how I wanted to deserve you and keep you more than anything in this world." I said, baring the content of my heart.

He caressed my face and angled his face just to kiss me thoroughly. It was a slow passionate and tender kiss.

Halik na magpaparamdam kong gaano ka kamahal at nirerespeto.

Huminto siya sa pag halik saakin ngunit nakahawak parin sa mukha ko ang kamay niya.

"I already prepared a trip for my wedding proposal for you, with our family and friends in it... but you made it hard for me to follow through, with the feelings you're making me feel all at once, I just couldn't follow through anymore, kaya ngayon..." Kegann kneeled in front of me, at may kinuha sa bulsa ng pantalon niya.

Agad na lumipad ang kamay ko sa bibig. I gasped for air, cause I feel like air escaped my lungs!

He's proposing!
Oh Gosh!
Kegann is proposing!

Hot tears pooled my eyes as I looked in to his green ardent eyes and the red box from Tiffany and co being opened in his hands.

"Hailey Zairyl Mendres will you take me as I am... to be your husband, to have kids with me, to create a family with me and grow old with me? Will you be my Mrs. Kegann Del Ray? Will you marry me?"

He was waiting for my answer while my tears wouldn't just stop from streaming down.

I wiped my tears away and refrain from sobbing to answer his proposal.
