One sunny afternoon.3 araw matapos ang pagkikita namin ni Tita Isabella sa office ni Kegann, I'm finally visiting her.
It's the perfect time to visit her before my schedule becomes crazy dahil sa pag sisimula ng trabaho sa Sullivan sa lunes.
"Amore!" Tita Isabella welcomed me after entering their Victorian Inspired Mansion.
Every part of the mansion is screaming luxury, elegance, class and prudish.
Looking at their ceiling, walls, flooring, carpets, murals, vases, chandelier and even the smallest detail of the house, you'll know for sure that they've spent generous amount of fortune to have it look the way it is now.Breathtakingly beautiful as if I'm in the real palace of Queen Victoria of England in 1870's.
"Thanks for inviting me Tita Isabella." I politely said.
She smiled at me at igininiya ako papunta sa kitchen nila para sa tunay na pakay ng pag bisita.
Nakahanda na ang lahat ng gagamitin sa pagluluto at may mga naka antabay na kasambahay roon.
"Kegann told me that you know how to cook some Filipino food right? And some pasta too?" Tita asked after we washed our hands.
"Yes Tita."
"That's nice! I thought you don't know how to cook, considering you grew up with lots of maids and you're practically a princess of everyone." She laugh a bit after saying it.
"That was right few years back tita, before I leave for US. Living abroad made me independent and taught me basic survival skills such as cooking." I answered, thinking of how many eggs i burnt til I perfect it.
"Glad that you didn't live out of subway, Chinese takeout and In and out food." She shrugged and put a pan on the stove before she continued speaking.
"I'll be teaching you how to cook Paella, Chicken Biryani and Beef Misono today. My son knows how to cook everything because even at a young age, I already thought him how do so. That's why I also want you to learn more dishes, because it's not right if he's the only one who'll be cooking for the both you right?" Her right brow raised a bit and I just nodded.
"You're right tita." I replied and she smiled.
Nag simula na siyang sabihin saakin at ituro ang mga ingredients at steps ng lulutuin.
I was actually enjoying it dahil ito ang pangalawang beses na may nag turo saaking mag luto. First was Aleng Irma then Tita Isabella.
My mom doesn't know how to cook kaya imposibleng maturuan niya ako sa pag luluto. She was almost everyday busy with work at kung nasa kusina man ay nag mamando lang sa mga kasambahay.
She was born very rich and marry very rich too kaya hindi niya na iyon kinailangan. Isa pa she's very career oriented woman like most of 21st generation women now at wala ng naging oras sa pagkatuto sa kusina.
"There. All done!" Pumalpak si Tita Isabella sa tagumpay ng pagluluto.
Everything looks enticing.
"You're a fast learner I'll give you that, but still you have to learn more dishes." Tinikman niya ang mga putahe na tinimpla ko at mukha naman na nagustuhan niya iyon.
Since Tita Isabella said that I still have to learn more I wonder if I can ask her to teach me how to bake?
I looked at her ngunit nahiyang magtanong.
"Yes amore? Are you gonna ask something?" Nagulat ako sa pagtatanong niya. She sure does know how to read other people!
"Hmm tita... I wonder if you can teach me too how to bake? Kegann seems to like pastries especially Blueberry cupcake a la mode." I said a little bit shy.
