Chapter 28

Giselle De Loyola visited us earlier in the morning. She brought a dish called "Adobo sa Asin" and we ate it with her and her son.

Everyone was pleased with what she cooked. Hindi ako kumakain ng kanin sa umaga pero dahil sa dala niya ay kumain ako.

Kasalukuyan kaming nasa hardin at nag ku-kwentuhan. My parents went out with Atty and Congressman to visit my grand parents lands.

Taus is just fidgeting on his phone while Tita Giselle is telling me stories about her garden on her house, at dahil doon ay napag desisyunan namin na pumunta sa kanila.

And yes, I call her "tita" because she asked me earlier to quit with the formalities plus De Loyola is her maiden name cause she's still a maiden.

"Would it be alright with Taus if I come with you tita?" I asked.

"Why not?" Naguguluhan na tanong niya. Napatigil siya noong napagtanto niya ang gusto kong sabihin.

"Taus." She called. We're in the pavement noong tawagin niya ito.

"Yes mom?" He stopped checking his phone and looked at his mom.

"Son stop giving Hailey a cold shoulder alright? This girl is lovely! Don't you think?" Tita said. Agad akong pinamulahan sa sinabi niya, isa pa kahit walang tao ay nasa labas pa din kami ng bahay.

I can freely assume that Taus carelessness is from his mom.

Napatikhim si taus kaya naging dahilan iyon para ulitin ng kanyang ina ang tanong.

"Don't you think son?" It's getting seriously awkward really.

Taus is my number one hater and someone who would always wish to eliminate me kaya hindi ko ma Imagine na sasabihin niyang "mabini akong babae."

If he would say that, I think that would be the end of the world.

"Tita?" I called para agawin ang atensyon niya but her eyes is already fixated to Taus.

"Yes mom she's lovely, but that doesn't erase the fact that I don't like her." Pag kasagot noon ni Taus ay nilampasan niya kami.

Napabuntong hininga si tita bago tumingin saakin. She smiled at me apologetically.

I smiled at her genuinely at hinawakan ang braso niya at nag lakad na.

"If Taus and I would be nice to each other that would be like the end of the world tita." I laughed to ease the doleful ambiance but she didn't.

Nasa harapan na kami ng kanilang gate noong magsalita siya.

"I'm telling you this Hailey, one of these days the two of you will be close and inseparable." Tita said in all seriousness.

It's ridiculous and impossible kaya napailing iling nalang ako.

Nag tungo na kami sa garden ni tita giselle at ipinakita niya ang mga kanina niya pang ipinagmamalaking roses.

I have always love Pink roses. A classic symbol of grace and elegance.

She excused herself for awhile para mag pahanda ng snack, and I took it as an opportunity to take a selfie with The roses and post it on Instagram. Agad akong nakatanggap ng mga komento at papuri sa ganda ng garden.

A classmate of mine asked kung saan iyon kinuha ang I answered the place and the residence where I'm in.

Nasa kalagitnaan ako ng pag che-check ng mga notification ko nang may nag takip sa mata ko.
