"Home sweet home" Kyla sat her bags on the bedroom floor
"I'm surprised we ain't have a bunch of mail." Mekai sat his down too
"We probably do, I told Laura to put it in my bedroom drawer" she said while checking it. "And we do. What's this?" She checked the newspaper with Mekai's face on it
It was a written copy interview he had did. He recorded one on her phone too.
"Star player tells about college life and football" she read the words out loud
"Baby-" Mekai hadn't seen it yet either, Bridgett must've knew he was out of town and wanted to wait for Kyla to see
"You did the interview baby?" she asked
"Uh, yeah" he chuckled "I was in good spirits" he chuckled "It's boring though, let's go shower" he tried to grab the paper from her
She moved it away from him "You don't want me to see because Bridgett did the interview?" she picked at him
"Ky" he smacked his teeth
"I'm not mad she interviewed you" she chuckled, putting the newspaper on the bed
"You not?" he asked in confusion
"She's giving you good publicity, I don't mind" she shrugged "But if she tries anything else, I'll...well you know what I'll do" she pecked his lips, going into the bathroom to shower

If she finds out, she's going to kill Bridgett, then she'll be in jail. Either way you tell her, you lose her. Keep it to yourself
But that's wrong, she should know. You gonna risk Bridgett telling her?
We can easily talk some fear into Bridgett. Make a mental note to do that too
"Baby, you joining?" Kyla came back out the bathroom in her towel
"Oh you want some dick?" He smirked at her
"Just a little bit"
"Ain't nothing little about what you finna' get." He gave her a slap on the ass as they headed into the bathroom

They didn't have school today, so they decided to enjoy the rest of their day. Mekai and Dominic went to practice some plays, while Kyla and Laura went to lunch after shopping.
"Almost every single time I look at you, I wanna laugh" Laura watched as her friend sat down
"Why?" Kyla asked
"You stay walking like a baby deer. Y'all some freak freaks." she shook her head
"Is it that noticeable? I been trying to walk regular." Kyla chuckled
"Oh it's very-"
"Kyla" Professor Edwards approached the table

"Hey" she greeted him
"You're back from your trip I see"
"Yeah, did you get all my work?" Even though she wasn't there for some days, she did her work and turned it in
"I did, I'll have it graded by tomorrow" he nodded
"Cool" there was an awkward silence after that
"I'm Laura, her best friend" she introduced herself
"Nice to meet you" he smiled, shaking her hand
"You too" she said, then it got quiet again
"I'll see you in class tomorrow" Kyla spoke up since he was still standing there
"Alright" he said before finally walking off
"That was..." Laura trailed off, trying to find the right words
"Weird. But that's just how he acts." She fanned the situation off
"I think he wants you"
"Nah, he's just friendly, even to Bridgett. That's how I know he's not flirting."
"Whatever you say. I know that look, it's the same look Calvin had." she ate some of her salad "And you saw how he acted behind you"
And look where he ended up
"They never even found him and Lena's bodies. Did they?"
Laura was Kyla's best friend, but the killings of Calvin and Lena were to stay between her and Mekai only.
"I haven't heard anything" Kyla shrugged "But look, it doesn't matter who wants me. I only want the big headed motherfucka' I'm with."
"And I'm sure that big headed motherfucka only wants you too."
"Girl, duh. He-"
"How you doing ladies?" Bridgett approached the table "Were doing a poll for class and I-"
Kyla cut her off "We're not interested. And next time you interrupt a conversation, say excuse me."
"Will do, sorry" Bridgett smiled before waking off
"That girl weird as hell too" Laura said
"She tries to pick, but I've been remaining calm because I don't need all the extra drama right now"
But what Kyla didn't know, was that drama was about to take over her entire life, and possibly ruin everything.
