"Ugggh!" Mekai punched a hole in the wall, growing irritated
He began throwing anything he could pick up around the room. His thoughts were getting the best of him again, something that happened a little too frequently.
"Calm down" his nurse came in
"Get the hell out!" He yelled, throwing a notebook at her
She tried to duck, but failed "I need you to calm down or I'll have to get the guards"
"I don't give a damn!" He punched another hole, making his knuckles bleed
He continued his episode, as the voices in his head seemed to get louder. He was unaware of the guards that had now entered and the nurse taking her needle out
Such a fuckin' failure, you'll never get the life you want.
"Shut the fuck up!!" He yelled
"Hold him down" she said as both guards gripped each arm and she stuck the needle in his neck
Mekai fought against the guards for a few seconds after, before passing out.
~ 3 hours later
"Hello Mekai" Jas, his therapist said while he opened his eyes
He was in the 'quiet room', laying on the couch

"Man, I don't feel like talking right now" he rolled his eyes, groaning
"We need to talk about that episode you had. I thought you were doing better"
"I am doing better, aight?" He sat up
"Then explain why you lashed out like that" she placed her finger on her chin, leaning forward
"My thoughts..." He exhaled loudly "They're like voices in my head, always telling me to give up."
"And what kind of things do these thoughts say?"
He shrugged "To kill myself, how this institution shit ain't gone work, everything negative"
"When did you start hearing those voices?"
"You just gonna continue to ask me all these damn questions like that's supposed to help?" He began growing irritated
"Talking out your problems helps a lot, you'd be surprised" she crossed her legs, placing the covered tip of the pen in her mouth
Jas had taken a liking Mekai. She'd flirt with him all the time, she knew what she was doing and so did he. She'd do little things like wear short, tight skirts, purposely bend over in front of him, and show as much cleavage as possible. He quickly noticed all of these things, and he found them amusing. But he wasn't going to entertain her old ass. He just wanted to go home.

"Wassup heffa" Laura and Dominic came to the lunch table
"Hey y'all" I smiled
"What you doing sis?" Dominic asked
"Ain't it clear what she doing? Her face is deep in them school books" Laura shook her head
I quickly looked up at her, sighing "Here we go. Why you get her started, Dom?"
"My name Dominic and I ain't in this shit" he got up and headed to the lunch line
"Back to you" she said to me "All you do now is study and work. Just like you did before Mekai came in the picture"
"I was working and studying when he was in the picture" I explained, sitting my book down
"Yeah, but not as much. Now you cancel plans with me just to pick up extra shifts at work."
"I gotta make money somehow" I tilted my head "How about we go out this weekend? I'm free"
A smile spread across her face "Good. What you wanna do?"
"Uh-Uh" I chuckled "You wanna hang with ya girl, you gotta come up with the pla-"
"Can we talk?" Someone tapped my shoulder
By Laura's face, I could tell it was someone I didn't like. I turned around and my assumptions were proven true- it was Lena.
"I been trying to do well so hard, now you wanna pop up" I took a deep breath
"I don't want any trouble, I seriously just wanna talk" she wrapped her arms around herself
"No, be gone" Laura said
"Nah, let her talk. Go 'head" I poked the inside of my jaw with my tongue, smirking as I waited to hear what she had to say
"I'm pregnant..." she sighed
"Good for you. Who's the father, the whole school?" Laura smirked, as we both shared a chuckle
