"I don't see the big deal, Kai. It's a company car."
"Who else got this damn company car?" He burped Kacey
"I'm the only one, but it comes with my promotion baby. He's just being generous." I fixed my shirt after breast feeding Kason
"Too damn generous."
"Baby" I tried to soften him up to the situation
"Don't start that shit, I don't care 'bout none of that. And yo' stupid ass gone accept it."
"First of all watch yo mouth and I told him no! He insisted."
"Yea', ok." He nodded, getting up and going in the other room
I stayed in my spot, burping Kason. Once I was done, I got up and went into the twins bedroom where Mekai was.
"Tell daddy to smile for mommy, Kas." I held Kason up
He blew bubbles and smiled.
"Move man." Mekai tried to hide his grin
"Seriously though, don't be mad."
"Funny, every time you say that, I'm always mad." He fixed Kacey's bow
"Kai, I couldn't just leave the car there."
"Why the hell not?"
"Put yourself in my shoes."
"Don't do that, cause we completely different when it come to shit like 'dis. You too damn nice."
"He's my boss, Kai." I sighed
"A boss that's overstepping his boundaries and that's the end of it." He picked Kacey up "Not 'bout to go back and forth all day." With that, he left out of the room
He has a point, but all I did was drive the car home from work. I haven't touched it since. It could be used as a family car too, his car is too dangerous so when we go out we always use my Rolls.
"Where auntie's munchkins at?" I heard Laura enter the house from downstairs
"You ready to go see your cousin, lil' man?" I switched Kason to my right side and headed downstairs
Laura and Dom we're here visiting for their son Arian's (eh-ree-uhn) birthday. We all figured it'd be a chance for us to reunite like old times, plus three new additions of course. I haven't seen Laura since I first moved to LA, we talked on the phone a lot but I missed my girl.
"Look at him! They've gotten so big" she tickled Kason's toes as I sat him down beside his sister
