Song~ Nothing but thieves - Graveyard Whistling.

"C'mon on Hazel up!"

I was half asleep when my mom starting yelling at me from the hall.

I moaned burying myself under the duvet and pulling the sheets over my head. She stomped in her footsteps echoing on the floor.

"C'mon you can't stay in bed all day" she whipped the sheets off me and I cringed away pulling my legs up to my chest.

"Said no one ever?"

I threw a cushion at her head and collapsed back onto my bed.

"I'm going over to Elizabeth for coffee" she said sharply while she picked up some of the cups and cutlery scattered across my bedroom floor.

"Hayes will be there" she added.

Oh great.

But I was going, I needed to talk to him and Jack was always right about these things.

Twenty minutes later I was showered and sitting at my dresser table.

I had thrown on a pair of shorts and a loose T-shirt over it. I tied my hair back messily with a scrunchie, I didn't really care how I looked.

I rummaged under my bed for a pair of toms.

Mom was shouting from downstairs telling me to hurry.

I slipped into my shoes, picked up my home and ran down the stairs and joined her in the car.

On the short drive over we sat in silence listening to the radio station.

Mom kept looking over at me.

"What's up with you honey?" she asked.

I just shrugged looking out the window at the houses we passed.

"Time of the month?"

"God no mom seriously?"

She just smirked and we drove into Hayes drive.

My stomach churned, what was I going to even say?

I should of really planned this out.

Elizabeth opened the door smiling broadly.

"Oh honey, Hayes is gone for a walk down to the playground I think?"

Of course he wouldn't be here.

"Oh right ok, I can go meet him there" I said giving her a smile.

I said goodbye to the two of them and started walking down to the local park, it was about twenty minute walk if you were slow.

I prayed that things would be ok again.

Hayes POV

I sat on an old swing, neglected at the end of the playground.

It was quiet, no children around. I just sat there swinging gently on the seat gripping the rusty chains.

I felt incredibly alone, a feeling I was getting used to.

I had been there for a while trying to clear my head of all the thoughts that were constantly running through my mind.

I heard deep voices and I saw the basketball being hit against the pavement before I saw them.

"Look who we have here"

His voice, so familiar made my skin prickle.

"Get up Grier"

I stayed where I was sitting looking at my feet, I couldn't bare to meet his eyes.
