Chapter sisxteen~ lucy visits makorov

Lucy had explained to Luna when they returned home what happened to her. How she had been kidnapped by Midnight and turned into this...thing by her father. She didn't mention how she felt like a monster, or anything about the man she almost killed; being to afraid of what Luna might think of her. That night in bed, Jellal comforted her; assuring her Luna loved her no matter what. Even with Jellals kind words in mind Lucy cried herself to sleep.

Lucy woke in the early morning, the sun just creeping through the blinds. Jellal lay sleeping beside her, his chest rising and falling as he breathed. She smiled as she watched him, his beautiful blue hair resting on his forehead just barely touching his eyes. His face looked angelic as he slept peacefully, she slipped her legs from the covers; carefully getting out of bed. She wrote him a note telling him she was going to porlyusicas, before heading down the hall to shower.

Once she finished showering, she changed into a white button down shirt with black jeans and boots. Her hair lay loosely down her back, slightly covering her tail. Her wings seemed to be darkening around the edges, as did her halo. She wondered what that could mean, it wasn't like that before; not until she fought that man. Could that be the cause, or maybe her feelings during that time? She was unsure which, hopefully Makorov and porlyusicas might know; if not she might have to visit the man in the mountains again.

Lucy left the bathroom and headed down the hall to Luna's room. She quietly opened the door and tiptoed to the bed, kneeling down beside it. Luna slept peacefully under her purple comforter, her chest moving ever so slightly. Lucy tucked a strand of Luna's hair behind her ear, gently kissing her forehead. She wrote a note to Luna telling her she was going to visit a friend, and that she would be back soon. She quietly shut the door behind her, going into the living room she grabbed her keys; before walking out the door and locking it behind her.

The sun had risen higher giving the sky a beautiful pinkish color. Lucy walked down the empty streets of magnolia, to the dirt road leading into the woods to porlyusicas hut. She didn't stop by the guild first, because she figured nobody would be there; and she didn't want to explain why she was visiting them. She continued down a path leading further in the woods. She hummed as she walked down the path, stepping over roots and limbs; smiling when the hut came into view.

She knocked on the door, interlocking her fingers behind her back as she waited for the door to open. When the door opened, an elderly woman with pink hair and an irritated expression opened the door. "What do you want?" She asked rudely, her arms crossed over her chest. "Hi, I'm Lucy. I'm looking for Makorov." Lucy said, showing her guild mark. "Lucy?" A shaky male voice said. Porlyusicas stepped aside to reveal Makorov, a smile on his face.

"It's good to see you, sir." Lucy said, bending down to hug him. "It's good to see you too my child!" Makorov said happily, as he hugged her back. "How have you been?" He asked, motioning her to a chair. "That's why I'm here, actually." Lucy said, a sad smile on her lips. "What troubles you?" He asked, worry in his voice. She began to tell him of how they saved Luna, how her appearance is beginning to change; and how she felt when fighting that man.

"Your worried about your magic." Makorov said thoughtfully, his hand to his chin. "I'm scared, I don't know what's happening to me." Lucy said, tears in her eyes. "My child." He said, his hand on her shoulder. "It seems to me that your emotions are what effect your magic." He said. "Only you can control them." He said to her sadly. She nodded in understanding, giving him a hug before heading back to the guild. She had to learn to do this by herself then, she would be okay because she had Jellal by her side.

Lucy made her way back to the guild, pushing the doors opened as she approached them. She ducked as she entered, dodging a chair just in time; as it went flying past her head. Natsu and gray were in the middle of one of their usual duels. "Hey luce!" Natsu said, waving his hand in the air earning him a punch to the face by gray. He went flying towards the opposite wall, sliding to the floor. He jumped up with his fists raised. "Let's go popsicle pants!" He yelled at gray. "Bring it on flame brain!" Gray retaliated.

Lucy spotted Jellal and Luna at the bar talking to Mira and silver. She began to walk towards them, waving and saying hello to people as she passed. "And it's going to be a huge cake." Luna said excitedly. "Oh really? That's exciting!" Mira said, her hands clasped together before her. Jellal had a smile on his face, he noticed Lucy behind him. "Shh, you don't want mommy to know." He said, nodding his head behind him. Luna turned around to see Lucy, she smiled as she winked at her dad. "Hey mommy!" Luna said happily. "Hey baby." Lucy said, hugging her daughter.

"You guys ready to go home?" Lucy asked. "Yeah." Jellal said, taking her hand as he stood. "Okay Mommy." Luna said, hoping down from the stool. They walked to their house, Luna chatting happily about her day. "I had fun spending the day with daddy." She said, as they walked through the front door of their home. "I'm glad to hear that honey." Lucy said, placing her keys on the table. Lucy picked Luna up, carrying her to her room and placing her in bed. She and jellal went to their room changing into their night clothes, and getting under the sheets.

"So, what did Makorov say?" Jellal asked, pulling Lucy closer to him. She rested her head on his chest, feeling his heartbeat and the smooth rhythm of his breathing. "Basically, my emotions are what trigger it. The madder I get the more I'll change." Lucy said with a yawn, snuggling closer into Jellals side. "Don't worry honey, we'll figure it out. We alway do." Jellal said, kissing the top of her head as he snuggled down into the blanket. "Yeah." Lucy said sleepily, as she and jellal drifted off for the night.
