Chapter twenty three~lucy completely changes part2

Luna, silver and Rebecca were running through the forest, following tracks they had found back at the park. The ground around them was dangerous with shrubs and stickers, the night sky above them midnight black. Luna shivered in her light jacket, rubbing her hands up and down her arms for warmth. She jumped slightly when something landed lightly on her shoulders. Looking behind her she saw silver draping his coat over her shoulders, while giving Rebecca his hat and gloves.

"Thank you, silver." Rebecca said, gladly taking the hat and gloves. "No problem." He said with a smile. Turning back to Luna he helped her slip her arms into the sleeves, pulling her waist length blonde hair out of the collar. He gently brushed her hair as he did so, bringing a shiver up Luna's spine. "Thank you." Luna said with a blush. "Your welcome." He said, a tint of pink on his cheeks. "But, won't you get cold," She asked. "I'll be alright, I'm the son of an ice wizard." He said, grinning from ear to ear.

They continued their path down the narrowing road in the woods, until the road couldn't be seen at all. Finally, after what felt like forever; they approached an abandoned building. "Maybe they're in there." Luna said hopefully. "Probably." Silver said, pointing to the hole in the wall beside the door. "Looks like uncle natsu has been here." Silver said with a laugh. "Yup, that's definitely dad." Rebecca said proudly. They snuck to the hole to get a better look, crouching down beside the rubble.

Luna gasped at the sight before her. Jellal, natsu, Gray and Erza were all down. Lucy stood alone before a man who had a black aura of magic seeping off of him. "Mom!" Luna cried, jumping over the rubble before Silver could stop her. "Luna get back here!" He yelled, his arm still extended. "Luna?" Lucy questioned, turning to see her daughter running towards her with fear in her eyes. "No, stay back!" Lucy warned, but it was to late.

A blast of black magic hit Luna in the stomach, sending her flying back. Silver jumped over the fallen wall, catching her before she hit the ground. "Luna? Luna!" Silver said, beginning to panic when she didn't answer. He placed his head to her chest listening for a heart beat, giving a sigh of relief when he heard it. "She's alive!" He informed Lucy, his hands cupped around his mouth. Lucy turned back towards the man before her, rage taking complete control. The man chuckled as he looked at Lucy's outraged face.

"You think you can just hurt my daughter and get away with it?" She asked venomously, an evil aura beginning to surround her. Her hair began to fly around her as though brushed by the wind, her halo completely disappeared. Her horns grew twice their size, curling under one another. Her wings grew twice their size also, changing completely to black along with her tail. She began to float in the air, her hair swirling around her changing from blonde to black. The man before her stood there with wide eyes, slightly shaking.

She flew towards the man, grabbing him by the throat she lifted him into the air. She punched him several times, blood pouring from his nose before she flung him across the room into the opposite wall. She sped towards him, catching him by the throat again before he fell to the ground. She continued to punch him over and over and over, all self control gone. The thing that scared her the most was that she knew she was killing this man....and she enjoyed it; she wanted him to die.

"Lucy, enough!" A female voice rang out behind her. Erza stood, holding her arm as it bled; looking at Lucy like she had no idea who she was. Natsu stood beside Erza, his eyes wide and shock written all over his face. Gray was knelt on the ground beside them, a tear sliding down his cheek for his best friend. Jellal stood with his mouth slightly open in shock, staring at Lucy with concern. Lucy turned to the group, her facial features turning into anger. "I'm not done yet." She snarled, turning back to the man once more.

She continued to punch him, even though he wasn't moving; possibly not even breathing. At this point, she didn't care; she just wanted to cause him pain. "What are you three doing here?" Jellal asked, noticing the children. "Luna got tired of waiting around, so we came looking for you." Silver said with a shrug, helping his father to stand. Rebecca sat on the ground, Luna's head in her lap; a single tear sliding down her cheek as her shoulders shook. "What happened?!" Jellal questioned, rushing to Luna's side.

"That man attacked her with some kind of dark magic." Silver said, pointing to the lifeless body that Lucy was still punching. Jellal turned back to Lucy, understanding now why she was so angry. He walked up behind her, taking a deep breath before placing his hand on her shoulder. "Lucy, dear that's enough. He's already dead." Jellal said quietly. Lucy spun around to face Jellal, her hair flying around her head and her eyes wide with something Jellal couldn't quiet place. "I said I'm not done yet!" Lucy yelled, pushing Jellal with such force he went flying past the others; breaking the door down completely.

Natsu, Gray and Erza looked to one another with concern, unsure what to do. Lucy looked at the fear in their eyes, to the cowering children behind them; before finally looking to Luna. The anger took over once more as Lucy slammed her eyes shut, using her wings she flung herself into the air. She burst through the ceiling, leaving the others to stare after her as she flew away.
