Chapter thirty three~ ashleys "love"

Lucy began to lead the way through the door, finding herself in another staircase leading further under the ground. "Watch your step down here." Lucy said in the darkness, her hand gliding along the wall so she wouldn't fall. "Here, I got this." Natsu said, pushing past the others. He lit his hand on fire to light the way, stepping in front of Lucy to get in front. "Thanks natsu." Lucy said with a smile, taking Jellals hand as she continued down the stairs.

"Were's juvia?" Lucy asked, noticing she was no longer with them. "She's escorting the people to safety." Gray said proudly. "By herself?" Jellal asked. "She doesn't need help." Gray said. "She can take care of herself." He said with a smile. "Moms super awesome." Silver said, a glint of pride in his eyes. "I don't doubt that." Lucy said, remembering how she and juvia had connected a unison raid. "I have witnessed juvias awesomeness before." Jellal said, also remembering the incident.

They continued down the stairs until they found themselves in an open room. There were bookshelves on one wall, the opposite wall contained a desk with many notes and folders. In the center of the room stood a table with two chairs, steaming cups of tea left untouched upon the table. "Someone was here, recently." Natsu said, sniffing the air. "I smell Luna and Ashley, but there's also another scent I don't recognize." He said, his eyebrows drawn together in thought.

"Well, lead us in the right direction." Lucy said, her hands on her hips. "Okay, Okay." Natsu said, sniffing the air some more. "This way." He said, waving them along as he walked to one of the walls. "There's something behind this wall." Natsu said. "Okay, now what do we do?" Silver asked. Natsu and gray both turned to him with huge smiles, they raised their fists and made eye contact with one another. "Now, we break it!" They said in unison, both extending their arms back to punch the wall. "Wait!" Lucy screamed, grabbing their wrists and jerking them back.

Natsu and gray fell to the floor with a thud, groaning and rubbing their heads as they sat up. "Why?" They said in unison, before turning to glare at one another. "Quit copying me, ice princess!" Natsu said with his fist raised. "Your copying my!" Gray shot back, his fist raised. "I call upon thee, in the world of the celestial spirits. And now, I beckon you to my side at once; pass through the gate! Open, gate of the maiden; Virgo!" Lucy chanted. The ground began to shake as a person appeared from a hole in the ground. "You summoned, princess." The pink haired, maid wearing girl said.

"Hey Virgo, long time no see!" Natsu said, waving to Virgo I . "Hello natsu, how are you?" Virgo asked kindly. "I'm great!" He said with a smile. "Virgo, can you dig us to the other side of this wall please?" Lucy asked with a smile. "Of course, Princess." Virgo said happily. She barreled into the ground feet first, her body spun continuously as a hole began to form. A few seconds later, Virgo pocked her head out of the hole. "It's done, Princess." Virgo said proudly. "Thanks Virgo!" Lucy said with a wink, as Virgo disappeared. "Wait for me!" A voice said behind them. They turned to see juvia rushing towards them.

"The people are safely evacuated, darling." Juvia said, running towards gray with hearts in her eyes. "Great job." Gray said giving her a smile. Silver rolled his eyes at his parents as he followed the others through the tunnel. "Let's go save Luna." Lucy said, following behind natsu. Natsu led the way through the tunnel, poking his head through the hole on the other side to check it was safe. "Up we go." Natsu said, as one by one he helped the others through the hole. "Thanks." They said.

"So glad you could finally join us." A voice said in the darkness. "We know it's you, Ashley." Natsu said, sniffing the air. Suddenly, the lights flashed on revealing a circular room with high walls. Ashley day at a thrown on the opposite side of the room, Luna chained beside her on the floor. Ashley gently stroked Luna's head, smiling when she shivered under her touch. Lucy's hands balled into fists, her body shaking with rage. "Your going down!" She said to Ashley venomously. 

"Hahaha!" Ashley laughed. "You took something from me!" She said, her tone turning serious. "What did I take from you?" Lucy asked, her eyebrows drawn together. "The magic disappearing wasn't my fault." Lucy said. "It's not about the magic!" Ashley screamed. She stood from the thrown, pushing herself toward she began to stomp towards Lucy. "I met the man of my dreams, then you showed up and took him away!" Ashley screamed. "What are you talking about?" Lucy asked with confusion.

"I fell in love with natsu, and you took him away from me." Ashley sobbed, her face contorting in rage. "He was never yours to begin with! Besides, he's married and has a child now." Lucy said proudly. Ashley's eyes widened in shock at Lucy's words, slowly turning her gaze upon natsu. "Is this true?" She asked. "Yup, married an amazing woman named Sylvia, we adopted a beautiful girl named Rebecca." He said, unable to contain his smile of pure happiness. "Well, this won't do at all." Ashley said venomously, before lunging at Lucy.
