Devil Lucy- our time has come.

Chapter thirty six~the battle begins.

Lucy, jellal, Gray, juvia, Luna, silver and Wendy rushed from the guild. Wendy began to sniff the air, trying to find one of their scents. "This way!" She said, pointing toward the left. They rushed in the direction Wendy's nose was pointing, until they came to natsus house. "We'll check inside first." Wendy said, as she knocked on the door. "Coming." A child's voice said from the other side. Rebecca opened the door, a smiling lighting her face when she saw who it was. "Oh, hey everyone." She said with a wave. "Come inside." She said, beckoning them inside.

"I'm gonna kill that moron!" Sylvia screamed. "Who does he think he is?!" She fumed, kicking over the sofa. She continued to ramble, until she turned around, finding everyone behind her. "Oh! Hey guys." She said with a nervous chuckle. "Sylvia, what did he do?" Lucy asked, knowing Natsu tricked her into something. "He said that the only way to defeat this Acknologia guy, was for him, gajeel and Laxus to do it alone." Sylvia said, shaking her head in frustration. "I mean, who does he think he is?!" She screamed, kicking over the coffee table.

"She's been like this since he left." Rebecca said, hiding behind Luna. "Moms scary when she's mad." She said with a shiver. Luna patter Rebecca's hand that was crushing her shoulder. "Don't worry, everything will be fine." Luna assured. "Calm down, we'll find them." Lucy said to Sylvia. "They can't have gone to far, I'm sure Wendy can smell them." Lucy said, turning hopefully to Wendy. "Of course I can, I'm a dragon slayer." Wendy said proudly, a girlish giggle at the end. The group headed outside, Wendy sniffed the air to catch their scent. "This way." She said, leading the way.

With natsu, Laxus and gajeel.

"You sure about this salamander?" Gajeel said in a gruff voice. He was doubting that Natsu was heading in the right way, seeing as they had no clue as to were Acknologia could be. "Yeah, what if your leading us on a wild goose chase?" Laxus said with a huff. "I know what I'm doing!" Natsu said, as he continued to lead them out of town. "Would have been faster to take the train." Laxus said, before dry heaving. Natsu and gajeel began to dry heave also, seeing as all dragon slayers have motion sickness.

"Never mind." Laxus said with a sigh. "We're we going anyway?" He asked. "I'm following his scent, can't you guys smell it?" Natsu asked, turning to them. They shook their heads, sniffing the air but not being able to smell what he's talking about. "Well, whatever, I can smell him." Natsu said, as he continued to lead. "Were going wherever the smell leads me." Natsu said with determination.

Back with Lucy.

"This way, their not far now!" Wendy said, as she began to quicken her pace. The others followed along behind her, Lucy gasped when they spotted the three dragon slayers before them. "There He is!" Sylvia said, rushing past the others. She had a determined yet angry look on her face as she sped towards Natsu. "Stop right there!" She screamed, jumping into the air, she pounced on Natsu. The two went rolling to the ground, Sylvia screaming insults the whole time while punching every inch of Natsu she could get to.

Gajeel turned and surveyed the group, as of looking for Levy to attack from nowhere; even Laxus looked around slightly afraid. "What are you guys doing here?" Gajeel asked. "We came to find you idiots." Gray said with a chuckle. "What was you thinking, that you could defeat Acknologia alone?" Sylvia questioned, her hands on either side of natsus shoulders holding him to the ground. "What if you died!? What would me and Rebecca do?!" Sylvia questioned. Her shoulders shaking as tears fell down her cheeks.

Natsu halted his feeble attempts to escape, his eyes widening at her words. He looked at Sylvia hovering above him, then to Rebecca hiding in the crowd; silent tears streaming down her face. "I'm.....sorry." Natsu said defeated. Sylvia slumped her head on his shoulder, the sobs wracking her body. Natsu began to gently rub her back, shushing her with soothing words. "You can't do this alone, you know that." Lucy said, looking to all three slayers in turn. "We have to work together if we are to defeat him." She said. "Yeah, your right." Natsu signed.

"So, what's the plan?" Silver asked. "Well, we were following natsus nose. Apparently, he can still smell Acknologia." Gajeel said, crossing his arms over his chest. "You can?" Wendy asked with surprise. "Yup." Natsu said, his gaze turning to the forest outside magnolia. "He's in there, somewhere." Natsu said, nodding his head to the forest. "We need a plan first." Jellal said sternly. "I have a plan!" Natsu defended. "Let me guess, go in there and kick his ass?" Gray said, deadpanning when Natsu nodded.

"You idiot!" Gray said, juvia placing her hand on his shoulder to calm him. "This is the biggest baddest enemy we have ever faced, and you want to what, wing it?" Gray asked. "Something like that." Natsu said with a shrug. "Not gonna happen." Lucy said, both hands on her hips. "Your going to lead us to Acknologia, we'll figure the rest out from there or on the way." Lucy said, helping natsu and Sylvia to their feet. "Fine." Natsu said, taking Sylvia's hand. "Come on." He said, pulling her along beside him.

"Slow down Natsu!" Sylvia said, tripping over her feet. Natsu slowed down, allowing Rebecca to catch up; she took his other hand in hers with a smile. "I'm not going to lose the two of you, I'm not going to lose this fight. You hear me!" He yelled the last part to the heavens. "Of course you won't, your fairy tails salamander!" Rebecca said proudly. Natsu led the group into the woods, the atmosphere becoming heavier and darker as they went through.

Natsu stopped at a clearing, a mountain on their left and more trees on their right. "I'm pretty sure he's in there." Natsu said, pointing to an entrance in the mountains side. "You think so?" Gray asked, juvia shivering slightly beside him. "One way to find out." Natsu said, as he led the way inside.
