Devil Lucy- our time has come.

Chapter fourty one~celestial world

Lucy stood in her kitchen, swiftly gliding through the room preparing lunch. She had invited Natsu, Gray and juvia over for the evening to discuss taking them with her. She was scared, nervous they would say no to save themselves; she would understand though. Gray and juvia had silver to think about after all, she and jellal had Luna, and natsu had Sylvia and Rebecca that he would be leaving behind. She was confident they would return, but what if they didn't? One day in the celestial world was the equivalent of three months in the human world. Humans couldn't withstand being in the celestial world for long periods of time, they would have to wear celestial clothes just to breathe.

Ding dong.

"I'll get it!" Luna said, as the door bell began to ring. "Uncle Natsu! Uncle gray! Aunt juvia!" Luna exclaimed excitedly as they walked inside. "Hey kiddo!" Natsu said, ruffling her hair. "Hey princess." Gray said, giving her a big hug. "Have you gotten taller?" Juvia asked, kissing her forehead. Luna giggled as they walked past her, she was about to shut the door when she saw someone else in the hallway. "Hey silver, come on in." Luna said, her cheeks turning pink. "Hey lu." Silver said, a small smirk on his face as he saw her blush. "Lu?" Luna questioned, raising an eyebrow. "Yeah, dad said that's what they call aunt Lucy sometimes. I thought I would try it out and see if you like it, you know as a nickname." He said with a shrug.

"I kinda like it." Luna said, her cheeks turning redder. "Kids were going to be in the kitchen, your more than welcome to watch the lacryma if you like." Lucy said, pointing to a box in the corner. They had a box full of different lacryma holding different movies, the kids were really excited about it. "You can pick one to watch." Luna said, as she had already watched them all. Silver chose the scariest movie he could find, in the hopes that Luna would be terrified so he could wrap his arm around her. Lucy headed back into the kitchen to find gray shirtless with natsu in his face, apparently Natsu took grays sandwich.

"Boys, boys! There is plenty to go around!" Juvia was saying, her hands on her hips. Lucy giggled as she walked in and took a seat beside Jellal. "So, what's up Lucy?" Gray asked, as he took his seat beside juvia. "Yeah, why did you invite us over?" Natsu asked. "Well, as queen of the celestial world it is my responsibility to take care of not only the spirits, but the world itself." Lucy began. "When Loki and Scorpio were training me yesterday, I talked to the spirit king. Virgo and Aries both have switched personality's, instead of being kind and generous they have become dark and deadly. Aquarius broke up with Scorpio and hasn't been seen since, her key is broken and I can't summon her. The spirit king said that to help them I would have to go to the spirit world." Lucy informed, taking a breath before asking the big question.

"So, you want the three of us to go with you?" Gray said, catching on. "Actually, the four of you." Lucy said timidly, looking to Jellal. "Of course I'm going." Jellal said, as if he couldn't believe she would have to ask. "Of course we'll go lu! They're our friends too!" Natsu said proudly, as gray and juvia nodded beside him. Lucy let out a breath she didn't realize she was holding, thankful to have such wonderful friends. "Why was you scared to ask?" Juvia said. "Well, one day in the spirit world is three months in the human world, it could take us longer than that to finish the job." Lucy said, her eyes darting to the living room. "Oh, your worried about the kids?" Gray said, watching her as she nodded.

"What if we don't come back? What if the job takes too long?" Lucy began to ramble. "You two have Silver to think about, natsu has Sylvia and Rebecca, and jellal and I have Luna. What if we don't come back?" She said, tears welling in her eyes. "We'll make it back lu, and if we don't the guild will watch over them." Natsu said, as if it wasn't a big deal. Lucy's tears began to slide down her face, stopping as she felt a hand on her shoulder. "If you guys don't come back, which I'm positive you will, I swear on my life I will protect her." Silver said passionately, determination written on his face. Luna blushed at his words, silent tears of worry in her eyes. "You'll make it back mom, I know you will." Luna said, giving her mother a hug.

"Well then, it's decided!" Natsu said excitedly. "When do we leave?" Gray asked. "Tomorrow morning." Lucy said, still hugging Luna. Jellal led everyone outside to say goodbye as Lucy started cleaning the kitchen, Luna skipping around behind her to help. "Mom?" Luna asked timidly. "Yes dear?" Lucy said, turning to her. "You'll make it back, right?" Luna asked, her lip quivering ever so slightly. Lucy could feel the hot tears begin to well in her eyes, disappointed in herself for not being able to say yes. "I...don't know sweetheart, but I promise you I will do everything i can to make it back to you." Lucy said, kneeling down to place her hand on Luna's shoulder.

Jellal stood against the doorframe, watching a tender moment between mother and daughter with a full heart. "I promise I'll bring her back, even if it kills me." He said to Luna, before walking into their bedroom and shutting the door. Lucy put Luna to sleep, tucking her in with a kiss on the forehead and multiple hugs. She joined Jellal in their room, snuggling under the covers. "I promise we'll make it back." Jellal whispered, as he kissed her forehead.
