Chapter twenty eight~ day at the park

Luna awoke to the birds chirping and the sun shining through her window. Lucy and jellal were gone on a mission, defeating bandits and saving people's lives. Luna was kind of tired of being stuck at home, Silver got to take missions by himself; so why couldn't she? The thought of silver made her smile, as she got up for a quick shower. Once she was finished she changed into a black skirt with a white tank top, and black boots to finish it off. She glanced in the mirror, letting her long blonde hair hang down her waist.

She grabbed her house key from the counter and locked the door behind her. She jumped onto the ledge beside the lake, humming as she skipped to the guild. She could hear the commotion as she approached, it sounded like chairs flying. "They're at it again." She mumbled, as she walked through the door. Natsu and gray were cowering in a corner with an enraged Erza towering over them. Her red hair was flying behind her by an invisible wind. "Which one of you ate my strawberry cheesecake?" She said menacingly.

Luna rolled her eyes as the two grown men cowered more, pointing to one another; neither wanting to take the blame. She saw Rebecca and silver sitting at a table in the corner, Rebecca was smiling at something silver said. Luna noticed how Rebecca's hand kept lightly touching silvers arm. She felt herself becoming jealous, her cheeks slightly as she d from anger. She walked over to their table and joined them, not even asking if she could sit down.

"Oh, hey Luna!" Rebecca said in a nice voice. "Are you okay?" She asked, noticing the red in Luna's cheeks. "Oh I'm fine, jogged the way here." Luna said, giving a fake smile. "Why?" Silver asked. "To make sure you didn't forget." Luna said, bumping his shoulder with hers. Silver scratched his chin thoughtfully, his face scrunched up in concentration. "What would I have forgotten." He mumbled to himself, a slight smirk on his lips. "Silver sea Fullbuster!" Luna said, playfully hitting his arm.

"Haha. I'm just kidding, I'm taking you to the park today." Silver said with a laugh, throwing his arm over her shoulder. Luna blushed slightly as she felt the weight of his arm, for someone who uses ice magic he was surprisingly warm. She unconsciously scooted closer to him as the three continued talking. Luna noticed a look in Rebecca's eyes that she had felt in herself, jealousy. "So, what are you doing today Rebecca?" Luna asked kindly. "Oh, Mira has me cleaning the guild today." Rebecca said, a slight look of sadness on her face. "Would you like us to help before going to the park?" Luna asked, hoping she would say no.

"No it's fine. You two go and have fun." Rebecca said with a smile. She stood and went in the back of the guild, coming back out with a broom. "Well, you ready then?" Silver asked, offering her his hand. "Of course." She said, as she took his hand in hers. They walked to the park hand in hand, simply enjoying one another's company. They walked around the park multiple times talking lightly before stopping at one of the benches. "So, how have you been?" Silver asked out of the blue. "I feel like we don't get to see one another as much." He said, as he watched some kids play across the park.

"I've been good. A little bored honestly, I wish I could go on missions by myself. I mean, mom and dad take me sometimes; I just wish they trusted me to go alone." Luna ranted. Silver nodded in understanding, it took months to convince his parents to let him go alone. "I understand, but they're just looking out for you. They don't want anything to happen to you, it's not because they don't trust you." He said with confidence. "Yeah, I guess so." Luna said, shivering slightly as the wind picked up.

"Come on, it's getting late. I'll walk you home." Silver said, offering his hand to help her stand. "Okay." She said, taking his hand in hers. They began to walk towards the park exit, but stopped when two burley men stepped in front of them. Silver stood protectively in front of Luna, shielding her with his body. "Can I help you?" He asked the men before him. They had their eyes on Luna, like they were trying to decide if she was the right girl. "Luna Fernandez?" One of the men asked in a husky voice.

"Yes?" Luna asked, hiding behind Silver. The men looked to one another, smirks forming on their lips. "Your coming with us." The other man said in a crackly voice. "What do you want with me?" She asked. "You'll see soon enough." The man with the husky voice said, as he stepped forward. "Over my dead body." Silver said, standing his ground. "That can be arranged." The crackly voiced man said. The man with the husky voice shot a bolt of lightning at silver, causing him and Luna to jump out of the way. When Luna rolled over, pushing her blonde hair out of her eyes; she saw the crackly voiced man with his hand around silvers throat.

Silver struggled before the mans grasp, gasping for air. He felt his consciousness fading as his eyes drifted lazily to Luna. "Please, don't hurt him!" Luna begged. "I'll go with you, just please don't hurt him!" She cried. The men smirked to one another again, the crackly voiced man threw silver to the ground. The husky voiced man began to walk towards Luna, grabbing her by her hair. He began to drag her out of the park, as she screamed as loud as she could.
