Accidents make perfection

Chapter 2

After about 30 minuets Kilorn still hasn't texted me back, I decide to just go over with no warning. On my walk I think about all the positives that could come if I go Norta; getting some progress on the war, getting over my ptsd, getting back together with Cal. And then the negatives; the war getting worse, me getting horrible nightmares, Cal moving on and finding someone else.

The moment that thought come to mind I start to feel sick.

After 20 mins of driving I reach Kilorns apartment, I knock on the door and hear him come to the door. When the door opens I don't even wait to talk "hey kilor..." when the door fully opens I see a half dressed Cameron standing in front of me "CAMERON! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!" I yell and give her a hug. Her and I got a lot closer since I found out about her relationship with Kilorn. Although I didn't know they where this close."hey long time no see Mare" she says and we separate the hug, I look at her in astonishment "I thought you where in Norta to help dismantle the slum towns?" I ask "I am, we just finished taking down one but we still have a few to go, I decided to take a vacation and visit Kilorn for the week and then head back to finish." Cameron says while trying to cover herself up by pulling down what I can only assume is Kilorns shirt "is Kilorn up yet?" I ask "no, you know him he'll always sleep until he has responsibilities." I laughs "well let me know when he does." I say, when I turn around and start to leave Cameron yells back "how about you stay for breakfast and I'll wake him up" I turn back and see that Cameron doesn't want me to go "Alright but I already had breakfast" I say she looks relieved and says"fine then you can watch me make breakfast".

When we get inside Cameron yells up stairs to Kilorn "Kilorn! We have company!" I hear him yell back "who is it?" Cameron sighs and says "its Mare! She wants to talk to you about something"

I sit at the kitchen counter and wait for him to come down. After a few minutes he finally comes down wearing sweatpants and no shirt. He walk over to Cameron and goes to kiss her, but she slaps him lightly and whispers "we have a guest" Kilorn just looks at me and his face turns bright red "oh hey Mare I didn't see you" he says and freaks out when he realizes he's not wearing a shirt "relax Kilorn you had to deal with me and Cal so I don't really care if you and Cam show affection to each other." I say and give him a hug "plus its not like this is the first time I've seen you shirtless." He pulls me away immediately and yells "WHEN HAVE YOU SEEN ME SHIRTLESS!!!" I just laugh and move on from the subject "anyways I wanted to talk to you about something." When he sees my change in demeanour he sits down next to me "whats up?" He says all serious "well Davidson was supposed to go to Norta next week but they just got a call from the adoption agency,  they're going to pick up their new daughter so he asked me to go to Norta and help with war strategy instead of him" Kilorn has no expression on his face I don't know what he's thinking "well tell the Premier congratulation from me and Cam, but what's he gonna do" he says and I'm very confused "What do you mean" he tilts his head to the right and says "Well you're not going are you?" He says as if it's the most obvious thing in the world "Well I haven't decided yet, that's why I came here to ask you what I should do?" He thinks is over for a second and says "I think... it would be good for you to go back, so you can get over your ptsd." I'm kinda shocked by his response "I think so too, I mean it would be nice to have you back for a while, and I know Julian would love to see you, Sara as well." Cameron says, I didn't even think about them, but my mind never strays from Cal "but.. what about Cal, I haven't seen him in months or talked to him, I told him he didn't have to wait for me so what if he moved on?" I say in a panicked manner "I don't think he has?" Cameron says, Kilorn and I both shoot looks at her. She jumps "Well last I heard from Julian he hasn't been talking much to people, the only time he's social is when he's training his men" my hope shoots through the roof, he waited, he really waited that long for me  "well it looks like you have nothing to worry about." Kilorn says "you think? I need to talk to someone first thank you both I'll talk to you later" I say before leaving.

If I'm going to go I need someone to come with me, I don't bother calling her ahead of time but I need to talk to her, I need to talk to Evangeline.
