Final chapter

Time jump 15 years (Cori: 23, Matt: 22, Tori and Tyler: 18, Mare: 41, Cal: 43)

Cori POV

I'm packing my cloths to go back home, my sister and brother are graduating and I'm going home to watch. Once I'm done packing my bag I head to the base so that I can pick up Matt and drive us and get there on time. I went to university to study engineering, and my brother decided to join the military. My dad was all for it but my mom was a bit against the idea, and when I say a bit I mean quite opposed. As I'm driving into the base all of a sudden someone appears in my car and I almost crash into a building "what the hell!" I yell and slam on the breaks,i look at Clara who's laughing her head off "I told you to stop doing that" I say taking in deep breaths "sorry I just couldn't resist" she says. Once I get my composure I give her a hug and keep driving to pick up my brother "so why you here?" She asks "I'm picking up my brother to take to Tori and Tyler's graduation" I say and her eyes go wide "crap I forgot about that" she says and I laugh because of course she did "your mom's gonna be mad" I say "oh yea I should go, see you at the grad" she says and she's gone. If I was her I would hurry too, her mother is very strict about punctuality and if Farley is your mother you better get your ass in gear. I pull up to my brothers Baracks and get out of my car, I walk in and start to look for him. After a few minutes I find him rushing to pack his clothes, I just stand there for a while and watch him. He finishes and turns around and sees me "hey" I say "how long have you been there?" He asks "oh just the whole time" I say and he sighs "well don't lecture me, dad does that enough" he says and heads to the car "I'm sure he does" I say. My mom only agreed to let my brother join the military if my dad made sure he was learning what he needed which meant he would be very strict about everything. When we get to the car I open the trunk for Matt and turn and look at the base, the memory is as clear as day. Seeing my mom risk everything including her life to save our father, I remember seeing her bring the gun up to her head when my uncle was going to have him killed "you ok?" Matt asks taking me out of my trans "ya I'm fine" I say but I don't move "then why are you crying?" He asks and I touch my cheeks "oh, I don't know?" I say "I can drive if you want?" Matt says but I shake my head "no, I'm not going through that again" I say laughing "hey we didn't die did we?" he says and I shake my head.

Mare POV

"Tyler, Tori you guys almost ready?" I yell up to them "you know they're not" Cal says and I sigh "I know, I'm just reminding them." I say and I hear one of them come down the stairs "ready" Tori says spinning for us "you look beautiful" I say and she laughs "I'm wearing a graduation gown mom not a ball gown" she says and I laugh "well you know how much I hate ball gowns, but I was talking about your hair" I say commenting on the red tips to represent the fire she holds. She asked me to dye them last night and I was so happy to do it "where's your brother?" I ask then I see him come down the stairs reading a book "you're going to trip and fall one of these days" I say and he nods "hey pay attention to your mother" Cal says and he puts down the book "sorry mom" he says and hugs me "it's fine" I say and look at how handsome he looks "we're just going to wait for your brother and sister to get here then we'll go" Cal says and as if on queue they walk through the door "hey!" Cori says and I run over and hug her, I haven't seen her in months since she went to study engineering "I missed you" she says "I missed you too" I say and we separate "Matt what are you wearing?" Cal says and he laughs "nice to see you too dad" he says and they hug "well it hasn't been that long, about two weeks I'd say" I say and hug Matt "you're right" he says "well go change now or we'll be late" I say and he goes upstairs to change. It's nice having all of my children together, it reminds me of what my family used to be when we were little.

Cal POV

Once Matt had changed into something more appropriate we headed to the school for Tori and Tylers graduation "is everyone going to be there? Tori asks "yes, they all want to see you graduate" Mare replies "you know how much space that's going to take right?" Matt says "yes but that won't stop any of them from going believe me" I say and Mare lightly slaps my arm. When we get there Tori and Tyler have to go and get ready with their classmates so we go and get our seats, Mare's parents are already there as well as Julian and Sara. We all hugs and say hello to each other, then Farley and Clara show up, then Bree with his kids and not his wife since she's on tour with one of her books, then Tramy and his wife and son, and finally Gisa and her husband and daughter. Everyone is here and after they're coming back to our house to have a small... well big for anyone else, barbecue. We all catch up but then I realize who's missing "wait where's Eve and Elane their daughter's graduating today right?" I ask Mare and she thinks for a second "ya she is, I wonder where they are?" As soon as she asks they come and sit in front of us "hey what took you guys so long" I ask and Elane huffs "she was refusing to wear high heels and then her and Elane got into a fight" Eve says and I feel bad for Elane, then the ceremony starts.
