The medics marched onto the stadium battlefield and carried you all the way to the Nurse’s Infirmary for the woman to assess your damages. Shinso stuck with you, making sure to keep your mind under the bind of his quirk. Without it, you’d probably be dead, a heart attack upon your chest due to stress and pain of unbearable amounts. His quirk distracted you from the pain, Shinso couldn’t abandon you. Until that moment, Recovery Girl kissed your arms, yet nothing happened. Her wrinkly lips were pressed into a fine line. “Please turn off your quirk honey,” Recovery Girl asked.

Shinso were astonished. “Ya sure about that?” He asked purely concerned on if doing this was such a bright idea.

“It’s only a hunch, but I have an idea of what’s happening,” Recovery Girl replied, expecting what Shinso wanted to avoid to precisely happen. Shinso’s lavender eyes flicked to your blank lifeless ones that were under his cruel spell. He let out a pained sigh. “Release…” Shinso groaned as you began screaming bloody murder one again. He didn’t even give Recovery Girl a chance to react, putting you under the spell for another round. “What the hell is going on?” I’ve never seen such a phenomenon…

“Nothing good…” Recovery Girl frowned. “(Y/n) was trying to use an ability that her body isn’t accustomed to yet Shinso,” Shinso remembered his training sessions with Aizawa, it were better to respect his elders and allow her to explain for the sake of saving confusion. “(Y/n)’s quirk is rather tricky to use. On her first few months in school, (Y/n) came to me with the reasoning that overuse of her magma quirk left her skin dry and riddled with burns.”

“Oh… So this is a normal for her?” Shinso assumed, but that wasn’t exactly the case.

“Aizawa had warned me about (Y/n) trying to learn the ability to liquify herself into magma, it were a goal of hers as an Ultimate Move the Hero Course is required to learn,” that explanation just put all the pieces into place. You were attempting to do what your body wasn’t ready for. “Like a car, going from 10 miles per hour and flooring it to 100, (Y/n) tried to use her magma quirk at full torque injuring her body to the point it can no longer sustain the heat magma gives off… Her muscle tissue are damaged beyond repair,” Shinso cringed to the explanation. The boy remembered in his younger years when he touched a hot stove with his bare hands. The heat that scarred his flesh for years on end. Imagine that, but all over your body. No wonder why you were screaming bloody murder.

Shinso sighed, he just witnessed the fall of a hero in training. However he stuck around in the infirmary until his next round in the Tournament, making sure you could deal with the pain as long as you could. Even then, the purple haired teenager heavily considered withdrawing from the Tournament to make sure you were fine. Forget it, the only reason he didn’t withdraw was for the reason alone that this accident was your fault and could’ve easily been avoided if your mind could’ve thought further ahead to the consequences lying before you.

You missed school for the entirety of the remaining week but also the week to follow. No visitors were allowed in your time of absence due to your lack of consciousness but also rigorous surgeries that unfolded the same day of the tournament that went on for days on end. You were pleased that your entire class requested to visit, being your nurse read off the names of everyone who came around but were denied. Which undoubtedly included Midoriya, Uraraka, Iida, and Todoroki of whom was a friend that came and went from the group. The rest of the class were included, as was Aizawa.

What came as a surprise was the last name read off to you and what he did, Shinso Hitoshi. The boy of whom you attempted to fight in the Tournament, getting you the medical attention needed, even went as far as to brainwash you to mask your pain instead of being left to suffer. At that moment, you knew you had to thank Shinso for his support.
