This oneshot was requested by someone, and I'm sorry I forgot who. I searched high and low in this book but can't find out who made this request.

I have a reference in here but I think I made it a little too easy for you. I know you guys claim I reference this show quite a bit in this book BUT this is the first time I ever actually referenced it.

(Y/n) Todoroki has always had a better memory than most. While many envy this gift of hers, she finds this 'gift' to be more of a curse than that of a blessing. Ask (Y/n) and she'd quickly claim that her horrid childhood was to blame yet all at the same time very little stood out. Only the bad things that is... Ever since birth, happiness was an emotion nobody in the Todoroki household could embrace for all that long and it all revolved around a man who was the very definition of hell and flames. (Y/n)'s definition of father differed from everyone elses. There was no love, affection, trust, respect... Anything. Just his thundering voice, red flames and fists that left their mark upon everyone from spouse to children. Ever since mother left, (Y/n) could only count herself as lucky to have a brother who'd move heaven and earth for her...

The room was cold like a frozen tundra yet... Also sweltering to the point anyone could suffocate.

CRASH!

'You know what happened to Touya! Leave her alone!' Shoto, too caught up within his emotions, had allowed his ice side to devour the house. Jagged icicles broke the room in half with no room to move. His breath, heavy, condensed within the air like an elegant mist. On the other side of the room, ice couldn't penetrate. Enji, the devil, had fires in his eyes. (Y/n), mind blank, lied upon her side petrified for the worst. A previous blow, only a few seconds prior, had rendered her body immobile from the pain alone. Shoto stood over his sister's body all to make sure his father couldn't lie another hand on her. 'I don't care if she has his quirk, I don't care if her quirk surpasses mine! I'm taking all the blows here and it's my choice! Lie another hand on her!" Shoto stomped. "C'mon I dare ya!!!"

That moment, a memory etched within (Y/n)'s brain, happened a few years ago. She vividly remembers the day as when something snapped within Shoto and he hasn't been the same since. He remains cold and disconnected from the world as he detests anything to do with his father. Shoto just HAD to be born with the exact quirk father wanted... (Y/n) on the other hand, she awakened her fire quirk, now named Incinerator, earlier than Shoto had. Shoto was (Y/n)'s older brother by about eleven months and he views anything fire related as a curse thanks to their father. Enji initially left (Y/n) alone for the most part because her fire quirk 'wasn't as good as Touya's.' And therefore (Y/n) too had no interest in her fire quirk much like Shoto given how badly it upset him to see it in use. However, it was a class experiment in junior high that changed everything for the worst. Being in junior high, you don't think things out most of the time, she decided to light a bunsen burner with her own quirk. Poof! The burner was spouting flames like a torch! Unfortunately, (Y/n) didn't retract her hand in time yet she didn't get burned in the slightest. The burner spouted blue flames. Without thinking, (Y/n) stuck her hand into those gas powered flames and soon realized... She didn't burn, but this stunt awakened her quirk and now she could conjure blue flames without even thinking.

That's the day Enji lashed out. Enji wanted Shoto to surpass All Might with the ability to control both fire and ice while (Y/n) was the plan on the backburner with a fire quirk stronger than her own man's. Just like Touya before he passed away. Shoto made it abundantly clear that he would gladly die for his sister if it meant Enji didn't touch her, and he didn't.

(Y/n) trained herself hard enough the next few years to come and miraculously earned Enji's approval for he submitted a recommendation for both her AND Shoto to be part of the hero course at UA. Same class too and they couldn't be anymore thankful to have each other. Shoto was abundantly stubborn for the most part, so he wasn't exactly making friends. (Y/n) was concerned for him, but ultimately knew he was just being himself and went on with her own life. She made friends, much like Izuku, she got along with just about everyone yet she didn't familiarize herself with any particular group of friends either. There was the Dekusquad consisting of Midoriya, Uraraka, Iida, Shoto, and sometimes Tsu. The Bakusquad: Bakugou, Kirishima, Sero, Kaminari and sometimes Ashido. The girls of the class could also count themselves as a stand alone group. In reality, (Y/n) just kept close to Shoto, therefore if she had to say she belonged to any group of friends, it'd be the Dekusquad. Much like Bakugou on the other hand, (Y/n) found her studies to be more important than relationships hence why she really only made time for family.
