That first date… It didn't go all so well. Midoriya was going backwards with each step forwards. Right when he managed to scare a date with the girl of his dreams, her overprotective father, his teacher, crashed the date with his not so discreet spying methods of peering around corners and hanging upside down from street lamps. (Y/n) wanted the date as much if not more than Midoriya ever did. Too bad Shota was too protective for his own good. She told Midoriya to ignore her father, but with the boy so susceptible to anxiety he couldn't. Much to Shota's delight, his daughter called the date off and the couple went back to their dorms at UA. With each day that came and went, Shota's never been more pleased in all his life. His daughter is single and sitting within the palm of his hand.

While (Y/n) and Midoriya did keep in touch, they did share the same classroom afteral, they knew that their relationship wasn't meant to be and abandoned all hope in pushing forward. Deep down (Y/n) wanted to give Midoriya a second chance. She held hope that come the future her father would lessen his restrictions and maybe then could Midoriya get his proper first date. Midoriya though, he wasn't going to let the future decide anything. Although he's claimed to give up on highschool love, that is far from the true reality taking form before his eyes!

Izuku has been patient throughout the day. Even now, after ten minutes past class dismissal, Midoriya would continue to wait until all of his peers excused themselves from the classroom for the day just so that he could scope out the chance to earn a talk with his teacher one on one. Once the final student was collected and excused, Midoriya got up from his seat and approached Mr. Aizawa's desk with beads of sweat to occupy his forehead. All those times Midoriya stood up to Bakugou and villains alike, standing up to his crush's father was the most nerve racking thing he's ever dared to do.

Midoriya fumbled around with his sweaty palms, his mouth all scrunched up and his emerald hair clouding his eyes. "Mr. Aiz-Aizawa sir," the boy spoke up, earning his superior's attention. The man sitting before him glanced up from his phone before setting it down and knitting his fingers together to show Midoriya that his attention was captured. "M-may we speak about your daughter?"

The man groaned. "How many times do I need to say it? I don't want (Y/n) to date anyone until after highschool. You’re a good kid Midoriya, but her grades and success comes first."

"I-I understand," Midoriya truly understood as some schools forbid after school jobs and relationships in general as they're distracting from academic success. Mr. Aizawa’s beliefs in everything were perfectly logical. "Excuse my outburst, but I just… I really like your daughter and she's the smartest girl I know!” All of this wasn’t exactly news to Mr. Aizawa’s ears. “I've heard from her that you don't really congratulate her for her hard work and so… Would one date, a real date, really hurt her? She never asks much from you and the one time she does you grant her wish then turn around and break the promise? I understand that you're protective and all but you're being plain disrespectful!" Midoriya couldn't believe he just stood up against his own teacher. He’s never back talked to anyone before yet here he was making a lasting impression on his crush’s father. This probably isn’t going to end well...

“Alright,” The teacher stood up from his desk with a slight roll of his eyes. “Midoriya… Rules are rules. Feel free to be (Y/n)’s friend, but dating isn’t allowed. I have spoken,” Mr. Aizawa snatched a small sheet of paper from the small pull out tray of his desk before slamming it shut once more. He began to write down, or rather ‘scribble’ something down on the watermelon pink slip only to force the paper into Midoriya’s hands.
