This x reader was inspired by a Doujinshi I've read. It is Kid x Law, but even if you aren't a One Piece fan you'll understand the Doujinshi. It actually has nothing to do with One Piece besides the characters.

The announcement of UA's entire student body moving into newly constructed dorms on school grounds were a big change for everyone. It meant moving away from family, being closer with friends and classmates, and taking that first step into adulthood. The only adults watching over you were the teachers and that only consisted of the main seven hour school day besides your homeroom teacher who lived in the same building as his or hers class. Moving into the dorms made you feel shaken, everything has been complete and utter chaos lately and this change only made you feel worse about everything.

Yeah, you're talking about this past summer. First was the summer camp, a classmate. Katsuki Bakugou, was kidnapped making the training camp come to a bitter close. You were one of few who was gravely injured that day thanks to a blonde girl who stabbed you repeatedly with her knife and a series of syringes. You relied on your friends to get over that horrific experience for the most part, even then, that experience never faded from your memory.

On top of that, your boyfriend, Shoto Todoroki, talked you into tagging along on a rescue mission to save Bakugou from the League of Villains. The boy had the hardest time persuading you to come along, Todoroki understood you were still shaken after your attack and gave in rather soon. The only reason why you agreed to go were because Todoroki looked mentally and physically depressed when you declined the first time, as if the light in his eyes had faded away and his heart broke in two. Somehow his depressed exterior seemed to worsen with your reply Actually... Todoroki has had that same expression since you've met him. He's gotten better as the school year went by, in fact Todoroki has been at his happiest in such a long time, even grew the courage to ask you to be his girlfriend. So, The second you changed your mind and agreed to go with him and a few others in the class to rescue Bakugou, the faintest glimpse of light came back to Todoroki's eyes. Peer pressure is one of the worst things out there, but you knew you made the right decision.

After the rescue mission, All Might went into retirement because that rescue mission took the last pieces of his energy rendering him helpless to the community. All Might was getting old, about time he went into retirement, he deserved it more than anyone else.

The dorms were constructed because Bakugou was kidnapped, it was an effort to prevent further terrorism towards the students of UA. In all the excitement, you called up Todoroki asking if he's going to live in the dorms... Only to get no answer at all. "Maybe he broke or lost his phone in the rescue mission," you kept assuming, telling yourself this on a regular basis. Then suddenly, the date of when your class could move into the dorms were postponed for a week later for unknown reasons. Midoriya called you up just a few days before the move in date, according to him, All Might told Midoriya that a student had taken their life on school grounds the night before the big move. The student was a male, he was a part of class 1A.

That student was Shoto Todoroki.

You spoke with his family, Endeavor was difficult as always but Todoroki's brother and sister, Fuyumi & Natsuo, filled you in on what went down before Shoto's sudden demise. You were given the suicide note, it detailed how Todoroki felt as if he didn't belong in this world and it all revolved around his father Endeavor. Endeavor only had kids for the purpose of them to become the top hero. He terrorized his entire family, resulting in Touya to run away and turn to villainy, his wife to harm Todoroki resulting in his grotesque burn scar over his left eye, she ran away from home right afterwards as well. Todoroki started his training to become the next pro hero even though he had absolutely no interest in taking such a title for himself. Why was his life being directed towards a goal that he didn't want? Todoroki had no say, and his presence in UA felt forced. With All Might's retirement, Endeavor put the whip on Shoto and told him to start training harder and harder because if he's going to be the next top hero. Shoto would have to defeat his father and be prepared for other pros to come at him wanting the top spot as well. The second Endeavor pushed him to take the top spot again was when Todoroki's life was nothing but a memory now.

Learning the reasons behind Todoroki's suicide was a lot to take in all at once, luckily you had Midoriya to comfort you but even then it wasn't enough for you to move on so soon with the big move into the dorms just days away. His suicide however gave you a grateful sense of relief though. Todoroki in his note claimed he felt forced and had no reasoning to come to school each and everyday. When he went out of his way and asked you to be his other half, was Todoroki asking for you to be his reasoning to come to school everyday? That question gave you the relief you needed to reach acceptance. Although you were upset, still heartbroken to lose a loved one so suddenly, it didn't keep you back.

When it was time to move into the dorms at UA, the school finally revealed Todoroki's suicide and that it had happened within a dorm in this very building. Nobody wanted to live in the room, which wasn't a problem since there were enough rooms for everyone. You stepped up and asked for his room in specific. You'll never forget that smile Aizawa shared with you upon your request, such a brave girl he called you. Shoto would've wanted me to, was your reply but you never actually admitted such a fact.

Upon moving in, you had no clue how Todoroki took his life but half of the carpeting were unevenly patched into the room as a replacement and the strong scent of bleach and chemicals burned at your nose. The atmosphere was heavy, not to forget icy cold. He had to be here, no doubt about it. You stepped over to the barren bed, lying down and close your eyes. "I'm still here for you Todoroki," you spoke feeling refreshed.
