A long day it was...
A long day it was...
Shouta Aizawa never planned to adopt a child today but here he was cradling a young girl fast asleep in his arms. She had her head rested upon one of his shoulders for comfort like a pillow with dangling legs as Shouta could only support her behind. It killed him how she could sleep so peacefully at a time like this. His heart has been torn to shreds and cried so many buckets the overflow of tears began to show in his own cold grey eyes. Children are young and innocent though, no sense in ruining such a treasure by bothering to explain the true meaning behind his broken heart...
To return to the Class 1.A. Dormitory felt as if Shouta had walked a million miles. Time was moving slower, as did life as if everything was going through slow motion. Shouta could see each individual flap of a crow's wings as it flew overhead when he normally couldn't. All color too, even the most vibrant, seemed to dull into a state of bland. Upon opening the door to the dormitory, Shouta's class of many colors and personalities came off as dull and ordinary.
Shinsou Hitoshi, Shouta's apprentice, has been waiting for his return for a few hours now. Upon viewing his Mentor enter the premises, he stood up from his chair within the kitchen and came to Shouta hurriedly to begin his training. "Master I've been waiting for you-" However, the sight of the little girl embraced to his chest had Shinsou questioning just where exactly Shouta has been. Upon further inspection, Shouta's eyes were red, puffy and tired as if he's been crying his eyes out. "A-Aizawa... Are you feeling okay? Is there anything I can do for you?" Forget the training, Aizawa is visually in need of support of any kind.
"Can you watch over (Y/n) for a while?" Shouta rubbed your backside gently with a long overbearing sigh.
"Yes," Shinsou held out his arms. "May I ask who she is?"
Aizawa gently nodded his head and peeled your clingy limbs from his chest. For a little girl, you sure had a death grip of a hold on him. Shinsou helped him out by manually unlatching your legs that were wrapped around the older male's backside. You threw a small half awake fit upon removal, but returned to normal as you gave Shinsou the same treatment. Shouta ran a hand through his hair and sighed once again. "That's my niece... (Y/n)," Shouta began. "My sister, her mother, passed away yesterday as a result of protecting the public as a hero..."
"I'm so sorry sir..." Shinsou couldn't help but embrace you as he felt truly sorry for your loss.
Most if not all of the class gathered around their teacher. "Well... I'm (Y/n)'s only remaining relative and I would never allow her to be put into the adoption system. She... She doesn't understand the concept of death and I don't have the heart to explain it to her-"
"We understand Mr. Aizawa," Iida spoke up all the while removing his glasses to wipe away a few of his own stray tears.
"We'll watch over her *ribbit*," Tsu frowned.
"I wish to be left alone..." Shouta pressed a hand to one of his eyes. "I'm sure you all can respect that wish."
"Of course," Momo even found her own self beginning to tear up. She's never seen her teacher in this much pain emotionally.
Shouta nods briefly, "Thank you..." The man trudged himself off to his bedroom to most likely sleep his feelings away for the next week. The man is mourning the death of his sister who apparently was the last family he had besides his niece now daughter. Shouta wasn't all that close to his own sister, although he deeply regrets not being closer to her than he was with her being gone now. It pained him even more to be one of the last people notified of her passing. However, Shouta always made sure to visit you on more than just special occasions because he adores you more than his own pet cat. His sister would always tell him he'd make a great father and that he should look into having kids of his own. Of course he'd always ignore her or tell her that he's married to his job and that his students was the closest he'd get to having children.
