Day 3 of x Reader week and admittedly my brain turned to mush after I finished editing this.

As of lately, it wasn’t much of a surprise for the students of Class 1. A. to miss out on their studies a few given days a week with their hero studies and all. Only a quarter of the class had Hero Studies however, meaning everyone else was held at higher standards. “Midoriya, Kirishima, Tokoyami, Uraraka and Tsu are all excused…” Aizawa took a mental note as he marked those five names as absent on his attendance sheet. Thankfully he was looking at the attendance as there was a large EA abbreviation next to Sero Hanta’s name. “Sero,” Aizawa called out.

“You already called me sir,” Sero frowned as he felt forgotten.

“I’m aware,” his teacher flashed him a shortly lived glare. “My sheet says you’re excused for the rest of the week apparently…” The whole week? That’s odd, Aizawa began to think as he then remembered All Might did mention Sero was hired by a celebrity for hero studies, even dropped off a packet. Did all this happen on the weekend? That may explain why Aizawa doesn’t have much recollection of the subject.

“Excuse me what?” Sero shook his head. Why would I be excused for the week? Did somebody at home die?

With confusion well expected, clearly Aizawa himself hasn’t really looked into the subject. He recalls bringing in the packet of paperwork but where did he place it? And then there it was, at the top of his desk with Sero’s name printed on it plain as day. Aizawa quickly skimmed the job description before handing it over to Sero himself. “You’ve been hired by a local celebrity as a body guard until she’s done filming a movie.”

“But why me? I’m not looking for a job,” Sero frowned as he looked over his job description with much more confusion than he started out with.

“She has to go undercover and apparently she’s been searching for a skilled hero who doesn’t have a memorable face or any defining features to ensure her cover isn’t blown,” Sero couldn’t help but glare at his teacher as he was basically calling him ordinary and boring like an insult. “Don’t give me that look,” Aizawa called him out causing his student to flinch. “All Might himself recommended you as the most fitting for the job.”

Sero spits, “r-really!?”

Aizawa nods, “if she likes you, this job will open up more opportunities for you down the line. According to that you’ll be paid for your services as well.”

“Awesome!” Sero whistled with Kaminari and Ashido to give him high fives.

“I’m pretty sure you’ve already assumed since this is an undercover job to NOT show up in uniform of any kind and to keep a low profile.”

“Common sense,” Sero commented.

“Your job is effective immediately.”

“Y-Yes sir!” Sero got out from his seat with a jump. “Give All Might my thanks!”

Sero ran for his dorm and changed into what he’d call his most ordinary outfit yet. This is an undercover job, that means you got to blend in as much as possible. Nothing too flashy, and nothing that’s remotely interesting. That’s why Sero dressed himself up in a beige hoodie with jeans; the most generic get up you’ll find. He was quick to head out to his client’s residence which was ultimately an inner city apartment complex. It was a nice and quiet one sure, but a celebrity chose to live here of all places? If he had the money to move anywhere he’d buy a house on the beach or a mansion.

“Well,” the boy shrugged. “This is the place,” he grabbed the golden knocker that was bolted to the door and gave it a few hard wails. Maybe he knocked too hard. Those slams did echo awfully loud in the hallway.
