Chapter 9

{Gaia's POV} 

I was returning home from my photo shoot in California I didn't want to wake Chris so I decided to get a cab home when the cab stopped in front of the house, I paid the driver and climbed out of the cab I grabbed my suitcase and carry on. I walked up to the house I opened the storm door and unlocked the inside door I walked inside the house I quietly closed the inside door behind me and locked it I removed my jacket and hung it up. I quietly made my way up the stairs and quietly walked into mine and Chris's room I laid my bags on the floor I softly closed the bedroom door I removed my sneakers and yoga pants I gently climbed into bed without waking Chris. I was about to fall asleep when I felt him snuggle up behind me, I rolled over facing him I lightly brushed the back of my finger against his cheek. 

"What time is it?" Chris asked half asleep. 

"It's five in the morning go back to sleep my love." I said softly. 

"I missed you baby." 

"I missed you too babe." 

I gave him a kiss and rolled back over Chris snuggled up behind me and draped his arm across me I drifted off to sleep. When I woke up, I heard Ronnie crying I got up out of bed and left the bedroom I raced down the hallway and walked into Ronnie's room I walked over to her bed and picked her up she wrapped her little arms around my neck and laid her head on my shoulder. 

"Ronnie shh, shh it's okay sweetheart." I said soothingly. 

I left Ronnie's room and carried her up the hall to mine and Chris's room I gently laid her down in between Chris and I, Ronnie climbed on me she laid her head on my chest I kissed her head I covered us up and gently rubbed Ronnie's back. 

"What's the matter princess?" 

"I had a bad dream that you weren't coming home." 

"I'm home now I missed you and your father I feel bad that I wasn't able to spend Halloween with you and your father." I stated. 

"My uncles and aunts went trick or treating with me and daddy." Ronnie said. 

When Chris woke up, he leaned over and kissed me Ronnie climbed off me and climbed on Chris she laid her head on his chest I looked at them and smiled. 

"Ronnie are you hungry?" 

"Yes." 

I got up out of bed and put my yoga pants back on I left mine and Chris's room and walked downstairs I walked into the kitchen and turned on the coffee pot. Ronnie came into the kitchen with Chris following behind her she walked over to me I picked her up and placed her on my hip. After breakfast I took Ronnie upstairs to her room and helped her get dressed, I brushed her hair and pulled it up in a pony tail I followed Ronnie into her bathroom I helped her brush her teeth I left Ronnie's room. I walked up the hall to mine and Chris's room I walked into the room and unpacked my suitcase and carryon bag I put my dirty clothes in the hamper in the hallway I walked back into the room Chris was sitting on the bed. 

"Babe would you like your gift?" I asked. 

"I thought you were my gift." Chris teased. 

I handed Chris his gift Ronnie came into the room she walked over to me I handed her, her gift I put my suitcase and carry on in the closet I closed the closet door. 

"Mommy how did you know Belle is my favorite princess?" 

"Lucky guess." 

"Thank you, babe for the t-shirt of Oogie Boogie." He said. 

"It was either that or a t-shirt with Jack and Sally standing on the hill and I knew you like Oogie Boogie." I replied. 

I walked downstairs I walked into the living room and curled up on the couch I was watching TV, Chris and Ronnie came into the living room. 

"Mommy are you okay?" 

"I'm fine sweetheart just a little sleepy." 

"Would you like to lay on me?" Chris asked. 

"Yes please." I replied. 

I moved down the couch Chris joined me on the couch and stretched out he gently pulled me towards him I grabbed his Tampa Bay Lightning throw blanket Ronnie climbed on Chris, I covered us up I laid my head on his chest and drifted off to sleep. When I woke up, I was laying on the couch with a pillow under my head I heard Chris moving around in the kitchen I sat up on the couch and removed the blanket I got up off the couch and left the living room. I walked into the kitchen I snuck behind him and snaked my arms around his waist he looked down at me and smiled. 

"Did you have a nice nap?" 

"Yeah, I can't believe I slept half the day away." 

"You were tired and it was nice having you sleep on me." Chris said. 

"Where's Ronnie?" I asked. 

"Ronnie is upstairs in her room playing with her dolls." 

I gave him a kiss and set the table for dinner Ronnie came into the kitchen she walked over to me I picked her up and placed her on my hip. 

"Mommy can you tuck me in tonight?" Ronnie asked. 

"I don't mind tucking you in." I stated. 

When dinner was ready, we sat down at the table and ate dinner I felt Chris playing with my foot under the table I felt my cheeks grow warm I was playing with his foot as well. After dinner I helped Chris wash the dishes he washed while I dried the dishes and put them away after dishes were done, we joined Ronnie in the living room we were watching Disney XD. Later on, that night I was tucking Ronnie into bed I handed her, her plush Belle doll that I got her when I went to California, I kissed Ronnie's forehead and read her a bedtime story. When I was finished reading to Ronnie, I put the book back on the shelf and turned off the lamp I left her room and softly closed the door behind me I walked up the hall I walked into mine and Chris's room and walked into the bathroom. When I came out of the bathroom, I laid down on the bed Chris came into the room he closed our bedroom door and joined me on the bed. 

"Are you trying to seduce me?" 

"Maybe." 

"Because if you, are it's working." Chris said huskily. 

"I'm always seducing you my love and you're always seducing me." I purred. 

Chris climbed on top of me I moved his inky black hair out of his eyes he leaned down and gave me a passion filled kiss I wrapped my legs around his waist I ran my fingers through his inky black hair Chris moved his lips to my neck I felt him lightly sucking and biting my neck. I slid my hands down his back and slid his pajama bottoms down Chris removed his pajama bottoms I slid my hands down his chest. Several hours later we were lying beside each other trying to catch our breath our breathing was heavy and ragged Chris and I climbed out of bed and walked into the bathroom when we came out of the bathroom I walked over to Chris's dresser and grabbed one of his t-shirts and put it on I climbed into bed with him and turned off the lamp I felt him snuggle up behind me and draped his arm across me. 

"Babe." 

"Hmm." 

"Never mind." I said. 

"What's on your mind?" Chris asked. 

I rolled over in bed facing him Chris kissed my forehead and brushed the back of his finger against my cheek I kissed his wrist. 

"I'm thinking about not taking birth control anymore and maybe giving Veronica a little sister or brother." 

"I support you no matter what and I think we could try to give Veronica a little sister or brother." 

Chris rolled over onto his back I snuggled up beside him I laid my head on his chest and drifted off to sleep.
