Chapter 35

{Ronnie's POV}

The next morning, I heard my dad's alarm clock go off I got up out of bed and got dressed for school and entered the bathroom. When I came out of the bathroom, I left my room and walked up the hall to my dad's room I heard him through the closed bathroom door it sounded like my dad was getting sick.

"Daddy are you okay?" I asked, knocking on the door.

"I'm fine princess." my dad said.

I climbed up onto my dad's bed and waited for him to come out of the bathroom. When my dad came out of the bathroom, he climbed back into bed I pulled the covers up.

"I'll text Mike and ask him to stop by and pick you up for school."

"I want to stay here with you."

"Sweetie, I don't want you to miss school." my dad said.

"I want to stay here and look after you." I whined.

My dad grabbed his phone and sent a text to uncle Mike, I climbed off the bed and left my dad's room I walked back into my room and put on my shoes. I left my room and walked downstairs I slid my book bag off the hook by the front door and waited for uncle Mike.

"Ronnie come here."

"Leave me alone,"

I sat on the floor by the front door with my book bag and cried a few minutes later uncle Mike was knocking at the door I climbed to my feet and answered the door.

"Ronnie why are you crying?" uncle Mike asked worried.

"I don't want to talk about it." I cried.

"Where's your dad?"

I pointed upstairs uncle Mike, Maya, and a lady came into the house he walked upstairs.

"Ronnie this is my mom, Hilary." Maya said.

I wiped my eyes with the sleeve of my t-shirt and waved.

"What's the matter sweetheart?" aunt Hilary asked concerned.

"My daddy doesn't feel well and I can't stay with him." I sobbed. 

Uncle Mike came back downstairs and knelt down to my level he comforted me; aunt Hilary handed me a tissue I wiped my eyes. 

"Ronnie, your dad wants you." 

I walked upstairs and walked up the hall I walked into my dad's room and walked over to the bed I climbed up onto the bed. 

"You have no choice but to stay home today because Mike said that they won't let you into school without me because I'm your parent." my dad said. 

I kicked off my shoes and climbed into bed with my dad he wrapped his arm around me I laid my head on his chest. 

"Daddy, I'm sorry that I told you to leave me alone." I sniffled. 

"Don't let it happen again." He stated sternly. 

I snuggled with my dad and fell back to sleep when I woke back up, I was all alone in my dad's room I climbed off the bed and grabbed my shoes off the floor. I left the room and walked to my room I put my shoes away and put on my slippers I left my room I walked downstairs and entered the kitchen. I spotted my dad making toast I walked over to him, he picked me up and sat me on the counter. 

"Mike called while you were still sleeping, he told your teacher Mrs. Davis why you weren't in school and he is going to drop off your classwork to you after school." 

"How are you feeling?" 

"Better than when I woke up this morning." my dad said. 

After breakfast my dad and I were hanging out in the living room watching the Disney Channel we were watching Vampirina.
