Chapter 6

{Gaia's POV} 

When I woke up, I was snuggled up beside Chris with my arm draped across him I lightly kissed his cheek he was starting to wake up I rolled over and pretended to be sleeping I felt him snuggle up behind me Chris lightly kissed my back. 

"I know you're not asleep." 

I rolled over onto my back Chris kissed me I felt my cheeks grow warm I looked at him and smiled I playfully rolled him over onto his back and climbed on top of him I pinned his arms above his head on the pillow I gazed down at him and smiled. 

"Are you going to let me up?" Chris asked. 

"Nope I don't feel like moving but I will let go of your arms though." I said. 

I laid my head on his chest he kissed my head and wrapped his arms around me I kissed his arm and smiled contently. 

"What would you like to do today?" 

"I was thinking we could decorate the house for Halloween and then we can take Ronnie to pick out a Halloween costume we can each pick a pumpkin to paint and place outside." 

I lifted my head from Chris's chest and kissed him he playfully bit my bottom lip I climbed off him and got dressed I put on one of the Motionless In White t-shirts that Chris gave me when we first started dating, I put on black jeans, and Converse. I walked into the bathroom when I came out of the bathroom, I grabbed my purse and walked downstairs I walked into the living room Ronnie was sitting in the recliner watching cartoons. 

"Ronnie, would you like to go pick out a Halloween costume and pick out a pumpkin?" I asked. 

"I'm not allowed to celebrate Halloween." Ronnie said. 

"Sweetheart you can celebrate because you live with your father and I and it's okay to celebrate Halloween besides your father is the king of Halloween." 

I heard Chris coming down the stairs he came into the living room and wrapped his arm around my waist. 

"Daddy, mommy said that I'm allowed to celebrate Halloween and that you're the king of Halloween." Ronnie said. 

"Your mother's right you live with us now so you can celebrate Halloween I'm the king of Halloween because I love Halloween your mother is the queen of Halloween." Chris replied. 

Ronnie walked over to me I bent down and picked her up and sat her on my hip I left the living room and put Ronnie down I grabbed her jacket I knelt down and helped Ronnie put on her jacket I zipped up her jacket. I grabbed my jacket and put it on Ronnie and I left the house Chris came outside we walked down to his SUV, Chris unlocked the doors I opened the backseat door I placed Ronnie in her car seat and buckled her in I closed the backseat door. I climbed into the passenger seat and put on my seat belt Chris drove way I turned the heat up a little I looked into the backseat Ronnie looked at me and smiled I smiled back. 

"Ronnie, do you have a costume idea in mind?" 

"Not really." 

"If you don't see a costume that you like I can help you create a costume." I said. 

I turned back around in my seat when we arrived at Target, Chris turned into the parking lot and parked the SUV, he turned off the heater and killed the engine we climbed out of the SUV, I grabbed my purse and opened the backseat door I unbuckled Ronnie from her car seat and picked her up I closed the back seat door I put Ronnie down she held mine and Chris's hand. We walked inside Target and headed for their Halloween shop I showed Ronnie the different costumes for little girls she didn't seem impressed with them Ronnie and I kept looking at the costumes. I could tell that she wasn't having any luck finding a costume I knelt down to her level and kissed her cheek.
