Chapter 18

{Gaia's POV} 

When I woke up, I felt Chris snuggled up behind me his arm is draped across me I smiled contently and lightly traced the tattoos on Chris's arm I felt him pull me closer to him and kissed my shoulder I felt my cheeks grow warm. 

"Babe?" 

"Hmm?" 

"I would like to legally become Ronnie's mother." I said. 

"You're already legally Ronnie's mother when Rosalie had custody of Ronnie switched over to me somehow, they knew about you and you are listed as Ronnie's mother on her paper work." Chris explained. 

I rolled over facing Chris, he kissed me and lightly stroked my cheek with the back of his finger I felt my cheeks grow warm and played with his hair. 

"Do you think Ronnie hates me?" 

"She doesn't hate you; Ronnie just wants to hang out with you and go wherever you go I think it's sweet." 

"Most little girls don't want to hang out their dad they'd rather hang out with their mothers." 

"Ronnie's not like most girls she is still getting used to having a loving home and a family that loves her." I replied. 

Chris and I heard our bedroom door open and saw Ronnie come into the room clutching her plush Gir doll she walked over to the bed Chris rolled over onto his back Ronnie climbed up onto the bed and snuggled up next to Chris he wrapped his arm around her. 

"Ronnie your dad is worried that you hate him because you couldn't tag along when he went to hang out with your uncles." 

"I don't hate you daddy; mommy and my aunts took me out yesterday for a girl's day out and I got to meet aunt Jen." 

Ronnie kissed Chris's cheek she crawled off the bed with her plush Gir doll and closed the door behind her I went to snuggle with Chris he got up out of bed. 

"Babe where are you going?" I asked. 

"To apologize to Ronnie like I should have done last night but I didn't want to wake her up." Chris said. 

Chris opened the bedroom door and left the room I got up out of bed and made the bed I got dressed I put on a Motionless In White t-shirt, black yoga pants and black Converse I walked into the bathroom when I came out of the bathroom, I left the bedroom. I walked downstairs and walked into the kitchen I turned on the coffee pot I made myself a bowl of cereal I sat down at the table Chris and Ronnie came into the kitchen she joined me at the table. 

"Mommy can I spend the night at aunt Kylie and uncle Ghost's?" 

"You don't want to stay home with your father and I?" 

"I want to spend time with uncle Ghost and aunt Kylie." Ronnie said. 

"I'll call aunt Kylie after breakfast. Are you trying to give your father and I alone time?" I teased. 

"Yes."

After breakfast Chris offered to help Ronnie get dressed, I walked into the living room and sat down on the couch I grabbed my cellphone and called Kylie. 

"Hey Gaia what's up?" Kylie asked. 

"Nothing much Ronnie would like to spend the night with you and Devin she wants to give Chris and I alone time." I said. 

"I don't mind if Ronnie spends the night with Devin and I." 

"To be honest I feel guilty because I don't want her to think that every time, I want alone time with Chris that she has to spend the night at someone's house." 

"Maybe you and Chris should sit down with Ronnie and talk to her." Kylie suggested. 

"Your right," I replied. 

"Go talk to Ronnie and call me back if she still wants to spend the night with me and Devin, I'll come pick her up." 

After I got off the phone with Kylie, I got up off the couch and left the living room I walked upstairs and walked into the Ronnie's room Chris was pulling Ronnie's hair up in a pony tail I sat next to him. 

"Ronnie can your father and I talk to you for a minute?" I asked. 

"Am I in trouble?" Ronnie asked. 

"No sweetheart you're not in trouble your father and I don't want you to think that when we want alone time that you have to leave and spend the night with your grandmom, granddad, aunts and uncles." 

"I know mommy but I want to give you and daddy some time alone." 

I sent Kylie a text I got up off Ronnie's bed and packed her overnight bag Ronnie handed me her plush Gir doll I put it in her overnight bag. 

"Ronnie, are you taking your bag of dolls?" Chris asked. 

"Yes." Ronnie replied. 

Ronnie, Chris, and I left her room and walked downstairs we walked into the living room and sat down on the couch Ronnie climbed onto my lap a few minutes later Kylie was knocking at the door Ronnie climbed off my lap and left the living room. Chris and I got up off the couch and left the living room he answered the door Kylie came into the house I grabbed Ronnie's jacket and knelt down I helped her put on her jacket I zipped up Ronnie's jacket. I rose to my feet and picked her up Ronnie gave me a hug I hugged her back she wanted go to Chris, I handed Ronnie to him she hugged Chris, he hugged her back and put her down. I handed Kylie, Ronnie's overnight bag and bag with her dolls. 

"I love you mommy." 

"I love you too." 

"I love you daddy." Ronnie said. 

"I love you too." Chris replied. 

"Kylie, do you have a car seat for Ronnie?" 

"Yeah." 

Kylie and Ronnie left the house I closed the inside door and locked it Chris scooped me up in his arms and carried me into the living room he sat down on the couch and sat me on his lap I laid my head on his shoulder and smiled contently. 

"What would you like to do since we have the house to ourselves?" Chris asked playing with my fingers. 

"I honestly don't know." I replied. 

I climbed off Chris's lap I sat beside him he wrapped his arm around me I laid my head on his chest I draped my arm across Chris he kissed my head we snuggled on the couch and watched South Park. I lifted my head from his chest and kissed him Chris playfully nipped my bottom lip I felt my cheeks get heated he looked at me and smiled Chris brushed his nose against mine. I got up off the couch and left the living room I grabbed my jacket and put it on Chris came out of the living room he looked at me with a confused look on his face. 

"Where are you going?" 

"I'm going for a walk. Would you like to take a walk with me?" 

"Yes, I'll go for a walk with you." He said. 

I handed Chris his jacket we left the house and walked down the porch steps Chris held my hand and interlace our fingers we walked down the street. 

"Would you like to go out for lunch?" 

"I would love to." 

As we were walking Chris and I were getting strange looks from passersby we didn't pay them any mind Chris and I went to a local eatery for lunch when we arrived back home Chris and I took off our jackets and hung them up. I walked into the living room I sat down on the couch and removed my Converse; I grabbed the remote off the coffee table and turned on the TV; Chris came into the living room and joined me on the couch I laid down on the couch and laid my head on his lap. 

"Are you sleeping?" Chris asked gently stroking my hair. 

"No, I'm just laying here." I replied. 

Later on, that night Chris and I were lying in bed he wrapped his arm around me I laid my head on his chest he kissed my forehead I felt my eye lids starting to get heavy I tried to fight staying awake I ended up falling asleep.
