My dad the rockstar

Chapter 28

{Ronnie's POV} 

When I woke up, I was alone in my dad's bed I laid in bed and cuddled with my Belle doll I saw my dad walk out of the bathroom he was talking on the phone. When my dad got off the phone he sat down on the edge of the bed. 

"Morning sweetheart." 

"Morning daddy." 

"That was aunt Kylie on the phone she wanted to know if you would like to spend the week-end with her and uncle Ghost." my dad said. 

"I don't know," I replied. 

"I'm not going to force you to go if you decide that you want to go let me know and if you get homesick you can always call me and I will come get you I promise." 

"I don't want to go," 

I climbed out of my dad's bed and left the bedroom I went to my room my dad came into my room he helped me get dressed. My dad brushed my hair and pulled it up in a pony tail I walked into the bathroom and brushed my teeth when I came out of the bathroom my dad and I walked downstairs. Someone was knocking at the door my dad answered the door aunt Jen walked into the house I walked over to her, she knelt down to my level and hugged me. 

"Daddy is aunt Jen spending the day with me?" I asked. 

"Yes, just while I run a few errands." my dad said. 

Aunt Jen and I walked into the living room we sat down on the carpet and played with my toys we heard my dad leave the house. 

"Aunt Jen," 

"Yeah honey?" 

"Did I cause my mom to leave?" I asked in a wobbly voice. 

"Of course, not sweetheart you didn't cause your mom to leave." She said reassuringly. 

I felt tears sliding down my cheeks aunt Jen climbed to her feet she picked me up I lay my head on her shoulder and wrap my little arms around her. 

"Does your dad know how you feel?" 

"No, I didn't tell him," 

A few minutes later my dad returned home from running errands aunt Jen left the living room she carried me into the kitchen my dad was putting groceries away. 

"What's wrong with Ronnie?" my dad alarmed. 

"Ronnie thinks she is the reason why you and Gaia broke up." aunt Jen explained. 

Aunt Jen handed me to my dad, I laid my head on his shoulder I wrapped my little arms around him. My dad carried me into the living room he sat down in the recliner and comforted me. 

"Sweetheart, you didn't make your mom leave I'm to blame because before you came to live with me, I told Gaia that I didn't want to get married or have kids. When you came into my life, I told Gaia that I wanted to take you on tour with me and she suggested that I not tour so I could spend time with you. I didn't want to give up touring with my band because the band has come so far to be honest your mom didn't want me to tour so much so she was going to use you as an excuse." 

"I love you daddy." 

"I love you too, Ronnie." my dad said, rubbing my back. 

My dad sat me on his lap he wiped away my tear's aunt Jen came into the living room and hugged me. 

"I'm heading home sweetheart." 

"Bye aunt Jen and thank you for hanging out with me." 

"You're welcome sweetie." aunt Jen smiled. 

After aunt Jen left, I climbed off my dad's lap and sat back down on the carpet and played with my toys. My dad left the living room I played with my toys I heard my dad's cellphone ringing and heard him answer it. I put my toys away and left the living room I entered the kitchen. 

"Ronnie, would you like to talk to your mom?" my dad asked. 

"No thank you, daddy." I sighed. 

My dad handed me a juice box I took the juice box and left the kitchen I walked back into the living room I sat down on the carpet and watched cartoons while drinking my juice box. Later on, that night my dad tucked me into bed and read me a bedtime story he read me If you give a mouse a cookie. When my dad was finished reading to me, he put the book back on my bookshelf. 

"Daddy, am I in trouble for not wanting to talk to mommy on the phone?" I asked, snuggling with my Belle doll. 

"Ronnie, I can't force you to talk to your mom I know your still angry at her for breaking her promise to you about never leaving you. I know your hurting because that promise was broken but remember that I will always love you and I will never leave you." my dad said, gazing at me. 

"Am I really the best thing that ever happened to you?" 

"You coming into my life was the best thing that ever happened to me because you made me a better person and I'm proud to be your dad." 

My dad kissed my forehead and turned off my lap he left my room and closed the door behind himself, I slowly drifted off to sleep.
