Chapter 36

{Chris's POV} 

When I woke up, I glanced over at my little girl she was sound still sound asleep cuddling with her Jack and Sally dolls I kissed her forehead and climbed out of bed. I left my room and walked downstairs I entered the kitchen I cleaned out Salem and Precious's litter boxes I gave them fresh water and food. After I washed and dried my hands, I left the kitchen I walked into the living room and sat down on the couch I grabbed the remote off the coffee table and turned on the TV, I was watching The Amazing World Of Gumball on Cartoon Network. 

"Daddy where are you?" 

"I'm in the living room." 

Ronnie came into the living room she walked over to me and climbed onto my lap I kissed her head. 

"Instead of going for ice cream can we go to the park instead?" Ronnie asked. 

"Yeah, we can go to the park instead." I said. 

Ronnie was tracing the tattoos on my arms with her finger.

"Daddy how come my hair color is different from yours?" 

"We have the same hair color but you can't see mine because my hair is dyed black, we have the same eye color." 

Later on, that morning I was sitting on the floor playing with Ronnie and her baby dolls when Shelly was knocking at the door. I climbed to my feet and left the living room I opened the door Shelly came into the house I closed the front door and locked it we walked into the living room. 

"Daddy can I feed my baby doll the food that came with it?" Ronnie asked. 

"No because I don't know how to get the food out from inside the baby doll." I said. 

"Ronnie, can I see your baby born?" 

Ronnie climbed to her feet and handed Shelly her baby born doll. 

"My niece has the same doll I'll help you clean out the doll when your done feeding the doll." Shelly said, handing Ronnie back her doll. 

"Sweetie you can feed the food to your doll since Shelly knows how to get the food out of her when your done feeding the doll." I replied. 

Shelly helped Ronnie feed the food to her baby born when they were done feeding the doll, they left the living room with the doll and headed for the kitchen. Ronnie and Shelly returned to the living room. 

"Daddy can we go to the park?" 

I got up off the couch and left the living room I unlocked the front door and opened it I noticed it was raining I closed the front door and locked it. Ronnie walked over to me I picked her up and placed her on my hip. 

"I'm sorry princess we can't go to the park it's raining outside." I said. 

She laid her head on my shoulder I walked back into the living room and sat down on the couch beside Shelly. 

"Chris is it alright if I stay the night?" Shelly asked. 

"I don't mind." I smiled. 

"Let me drive home and pack an overnight bag and I'll be back." 

Shelly kissed me and left the house I sat Ronnie on my lap she climbed off my lap and put her baby dolls away I helped her put her baby dolls away. 

"Ronnie what would you like for lunch?" I asked, heading for the kitchen. 

"Easy Mac please." Ronnie said. 

Ronnie followed me into kitchen she sat down at the table while I made her lunch when her lunch was ready, I sat the cup in front of her. I sat Ronnie's cup on the table I joined her at the table and ate lunch with her. After lunch Ronnie and I were sitting on the couch watching Cartoon Network while waiting for Shelly to come back. 

"Daddy can I take a nap on you?" 

"Yes," 

Ronnie crawled onto my lap and laid her head on my chest I stretched out on the couch I checked on Ronnie she was nodding off. My cell phone was ringing I reached over and grabbed my phone off the coffee table and answered it. 

"Chris, I just got kicked out because I was late paying my father rent." Shelly cried. 

"Just calm down pack your belongings you can live here with me." I said. 

I ended the call I checked on Ronnie she was still sleeping on me a few minutes later I heard Shelly knocking at the door. I got up off the couch I left the living room and answered the door Shelly came into the house with her belongings. I headed back into the living room I laid Ronnie down on the couch and covered her up with my Tampa Bay Lightning blanket I left the living room. I helped Shelly carry her bags upstairs to my room we walked into my room I helped her unpack. 

"You don't really need to let me stay here I can find somewhere else to stay." 

"I want you to stay here," 

"I'll stay," Shelly smiled. 

When I was finished helping Shelly unpack her bags, we left my room and walked downstairs Shelly and I walked into the living room Ronnie was sitting on the couch watching cartoons with my blanket over her. 

"Ronnie is it alright if Shelly lives with us?" 

"I would love that." 

Shelly and I joined Ronnie on the couch she crawled onto Shelly's lap. 

"Welcome to the family mom." Ronnie smiled. 

"Thank you, Ronnie!" Shelly exclaimed. 

Later on, that night after Shelly and I tucked Ronnie into bed we were sitting on the couch watching Family Guy she snuggled up beside me I wrapped my arm around her, Shelly kissed me and laid her head on my chest. 

"Ronnie seems glad that I'm living here." 

"She seems to get along better with you." 

"What do you mean?" She asked confused. 

"Ronnie and my ex-girlfriend Gaia never seemed to get along too good Ronnie didn't like being Vegan so I bought her foods that she would eat my ex-girlfriend wasn't happy about Ronnie not eating what she cooked. After my ex-girlfriend and I broke up I stopped being a Vegan." I explained. 

"I don't know to many kids that are Vegan but it must have been hard for you to make sure that Ronnie and your ex were happy." 

"It was hard because I had no idea that I even had a daughter until my ex-girlfriend Rosalie showed up and told me that I have a daughter. Gaia was surprised when I told her that I have a daughter and that I agreed to raise Ronnie. I don't regret taking Ronnie because I love my little girl there's nothing, I wouldn't do for that little girl she's my pride and joy I regret not being there for her when she was born." 

Shelly lifted her head from my chest and kissed my cheek. 

"Ronnie loves you no matter what and she's lucky to have a father like you." She smiled. 

"I love spending time with Ronnie, she likes to sneak into my room in the mornings and climb in bed with me." I said. 

"That's so sweet," 

I turned off the TV and laid the remote on the coffee table Shelly turned off the lamp we left the living room and walked upstairs to bed.
