{Chris's POV}

The next morning, I drove Ronnie to school when we arrived at school I park in front of the building and kill the engine I remove my seat belt.

"Daddy can I get out of my car seat?"

"Yeah,"

I turned around in my seat and unbuckled Ronnie from her car seat I turned back around in my seat Ronnie climbed into the passenger seat she was looking out the window.

"Ronnie do you like spending time with Shelly?" I asked curiously.

"Yeah, I like hanging out with Shelly, I almost called her mom yesterday." Ronnie said embarrassed.

"I think you and I should hang out together and have a father-daughter day."

"I would like that,"

When the doors opened, I climbed out of the SUV, I opened the passenger side door and helped Ronnie out of the front seat I closed the door. I grabbed her book bag out of the back seat we walked inside the school I walked Ronnie to her classroom and handed her, her book bag. I knelt down to Ronnie's level she gave me a hug I hugged her back.

"Have a good day sweetheart, I love you." I said.

"I love you too, daddy." Ronnie replied.

I watched Ronnie walk inside her classroom I walked down the hallway and left the school I climbed back inside the SUV, I put the key into the ignition and started the engine I turned on the heater and drove away. When I arrived home, I turned left onto my street and parked the SUV in front of the house I turned off the heater and killed the engine I removed my seat belt. I climbed out of the SUV and walked up to the house I walked up the porch steps and saw Shelly sitting on the porch.

"Have you been waiting long?"

"No, I got here a little before you did."

I opened the storm door and unlocked the front door I opened the front door and let Shelly inside the house I followed in behind her. I closed the front door and locked it we removed our jackets and hung them up.

"I'm happy to see you it beats hanging out here alone." I said embarrassed.

"You were never one who liked to be alone." Shelly replied.

"Ronnie and I were just talking about you when we were waiting for the school doors to open."

"I hope it was good things,"

"Of course, I never said anything bad about you when we were in high school so why would I start now." I replied.

"What were you and Ronnie saying about me?" She asked curiously.

"I asked Ronnie if she likes hanging out with you and she said yes."

I entered the kitchen and walked over to the counter I turned on the coffee pot Shelly came into the kitchen.

"I had a lot of fun hanging out with Ronnie, she sure loves Hot Topic and the Disney Store."

"She sure does Ronnie loves Belle and The Nightmare Before Christmas."

"Since I have the day off would you like to hang out?" Shelly asked.

"Sounds good to me you're also more than welcome to go with me when I pick Ronnie up from school." I said.

When the coffee was ready, I made myself and Shelly a cup of coffee I grabbed the coffee creamer out of the fridge and poured it into our coffees I returned the coffee creamer to the fridge. I handed Shelly, her mug I grabbed my mug we left the kitchen and walked into the living room. Shelly and I sat down on the couch we drank our coffee and watched TV.
