{Ronnie's POV}

The next morning my dad and I were standing outside of my school waiting for the principal to open the doors. My dad and I spotted uncle Mike and Maya walking towards us she walked over to me and hugged me I returned her hug.

"Ronnie, I missed you yesterday." Maya said.

"My mom and dad kept me home from school yesterday because I couldn't sleep the night before and my mom and dad weren't sure how much sleep I actually got." I replied.

"When my parents and I didn't see you with uncle Chris or aunt Shelly. I asked my parents to take me home because I didn't want to sit at our table yesterday by myself."

"Did your parents take you back home?"

"Yes, after I explained to them why I didn't want to go to school."

When the principal opened the doors my dad and uncle Mike walked Maya and I to class we stopped outside of the classroom my dad knelt down to my level I wrapped my arms around his neck and hugged him. My dad hugged me and kissed my cheek I kissed my dad's cheek.

"I love you and have a good day." my dad said.

"I love you too, daddy." I smiled.

Maya and I entered our classroom we greeted Mrs. Davis and headed for our cubbies I took my book bag off my back and hung it up inside my cubby I unzipped my jacket and took it off I hung my jacket up inside my cubby. I unzipped my book bag I took out my box of crayons and box of colored pencils along with my notebook I zipped up my book bag and headed for my table. I pulled out the small blue chair and sat down at the table Maya joined me at our table.

"Ronnie, are you having a birthday party?"

"I'm not sure."

"When is your birthday?" Maya asked softly.

"November seventh." I whispered.

When the class had settled into their seats and Mrs. Davis finished taking attendance, she had everyone sit in a circle on the carpet. Mrs. Davis joined us on the carpet she read us a picture book with Winnie The Pooh when she was finished reading to the class my classmates and I returned to our tables. Mrs. Davis passed out worksheets for us to practice writing our names, naming shapes, colors, and animals, and writing our numbers. When Maya and I were handed our worksheets, we started working on the worksheets.

"Mrs. Davis are we aloud to work together?"

"Yes, you can work together."

Maya and I worked together on our worksheets when the class was finished the worksheets Mrs. Davis walked around to each table and collected the worksheets. The day went by fast before we knew it was time to go home, I walked to my cubbyhole I grabbed my sweat jacket off the hook and put it on. I zipped up my sweat jacket and grabbed my book bag I unzipped my book bag and put my notebook, box of crayons, and box of colored pencils back inside my bag. I zipped my book bag up and put it on my back after everyone had their belongings Mrs. Davis had the class form a neat line, she led us out of the classroom and us out of the school where she dismissed us to our parents. I spotted my dad and ran to him my dad picked me up and placed me on his hip.

"How was your day sweetheart?" my dad asked.

"My day was good. Where's mommy?" I said.

"Your mom had a doctor's appointment."

My dad put me down and helped me slide off my book bag we walked over to the SUV; my dad opened the door to the backseat. He helped me into the backseat I sat down in my car seat my dad buckled me in and handed me my book bag he closed the door and climbed behind the wheel and drove away.

"Daddy is mommy, okay?" I asked worried.

"Yes, your mom is fine she only went for a checkup." my dad said reassuringly.

When we arrived home my dad parked the SUV in front of the house, he turned off the heater and killed the engine. My dad climbed out of the SUV, he walked around to the passenger side and opened the door to the backseat my dad unbuckled me and helped me out of the backseat. My dad closed the door we walked up to the house I opened the storm door my dad unlocked the front door and opened it I walked inside the house with my dad.

"Daddy is it too late to have lunch?"

"Nope we can have lunch."

I handed my dad my book bag I unzipped my sweat jacket and handed it to him, I headed for the kitchen I spotted Salem and Precious eating. My dad came into the kitchen I walked over to the table and sat down.

"Ronnie what would you like for lunch?" my dad asked.

"Easy Mac please." I said.

While my dad was making lunch, we heard the front door open I saw my mom walk into the kitchen I got up from the table and ran to her.

"Hi. sweetie."

"Hi. mommy."

"How was your day?" my mom asked.

"My day was good Mrs. Davis gave us worksheets to work on." I replied.

My mom and I walked over to the table and sat down my dad sat my cup of Easy Mac in front of me and sat two cups of Easy Mac on the table and joined us at the table.

"Maya asked me if I was having a party for my birthday."

"Would you like a party for your birthday?"

"Yes, I would like a party just friends and family because I know if I invited my classmates to my birthday party none of them would show up." I said.

"When your mom and I take you to school tomorrow you can ask your aunt and uncle if Maya can stay the week-end." my dad replied.

After lunch I was sitting on the carpet in the living room playing with my baby dolls my mom came into the living room and joined me.

"Your father told me that you seemed a little worried that I had a doctor's appointment."

"I just wanted to know if you were okay."

"I'm fine sweetie I only went for a checkup and I am healthy." my mom smiled.

My mom sat on the floor and played with me. Later on, that night my mom and dad tucked me into bed and kissed my forehead.

"Night, night Ronnie."

"Night, night mommy and daddy."

My mom turned off my lamp and followed my dad out of my room closing the door behind them Precious and Salem snuggled with me I drifted off to sleep.
