{Chris's POV}

The next morning when I woke up, I got dressed and woke Ronnie up for school we walked downstairs Ronnie followed me into the kitchen.

"What would you like for breakfast?" I asked.

"Cereal please." Ronnie said.

I made Ronnie a bowl of Fruity Pebbles and placed the bowl in front of her, I made myself a bowl of cereal and joined her at the table.

"Are you okay to go to school?"

"I'll be fine. Are you okay?"

"I'm okay sweetie." I said.

"Daddy are you sending me back to my mean mommy?" She asked, playing with her cereal.

"I am not sending you anywhere because I made a promise to you when your mom brought you to me. I promised you that I was going to be a father to you and I am going to keep my promise to you."

After breakfast I took Ronnie upstairs to her room and helped her get dressed, I brushed her hair and pulled her hair up in a pony tail. Ronnie walked into her bathroom when she came out of the bathroom, we walked downstairs I grabbed her jacket off the hook and knelt down I helped Ronnie put on her jacket and zipped it up for her. I rose to my feet and grabbed my jacket and put it on I grabbed my sunglasses off the hallway table and grabbed Ronnie's book bag we left the house. Ronnie and I walked down to the SUV, I unlocked the doors I opened the door to the backseat I picked her up and placed her car seat I buckled Ronnie in her car seat and sat her book bag on the seat. I closed the door and climbed behind the wheel I put the key into the ignition and started the engine I turned on the heater, I pulled away from the curb and drove away.

"Daddy can we go see grandmom after school?" Ronnie asked.

"I don't see why not." I said.

When we arrived at school I parked in front of the school and killed the engine I removed my seat belt and looked into the back seat Ronnie was playing with the strap on her book bag.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah,"

I turned back around and climbed out of the SUV, I walked around to the passenger side and opened the back seat door I knew Ronnie was still upset about yesterday.

"Do you still want to go to school today?" I asked concerned, standing in the open car door.

"I still want to go to school." Ronnie said, looking up at me.

I unbuckled Ronnie from her car seat and helped her out of the backseat I grabbed Ronnie's book bag off the seat and shut the door. Ronnie and I waited with the rest of the parents and students for the doors to open.

"Would you like me to walk you to class?"

"I'll be fine."

When the principal opened the door to let the students and their parents inside the school I knelt down to Ronnie's leave and gave her a hug. She hugged me back I handed her, her book bag I watched Ronnie walk into school I rose to my feet and walked back to the SUV. I climbed back behind the wheel I put the key into the ignition and started the engine I put my seat belt back on I pulled away from the curb and drove away. I decided on the way home to stop over at my mother's house because I didn't feel like going home. When I arrived at my mother's house I parked across the street and killed the engine I removed my seat belt and climbed out of the SUV, I walked across the street I walked up the front steps and walked up the porch steps I opened the storm door and knocked on the door. My mother answered the door I walked inside the house I removed my jacket and hung it up I followed her into the kitchen.
