{Chris's POV}

The next morning when I woke up, I noticed Shelly wasn't in bed I climbed out of bed and left the bedroom I walked downstairs. I entered the living room and noticed Shelly and Ronnie sound asleep on the couch I walked over to the couch I leaned down and kissed Shelly's forehead. She was starting to stir Shelly looked at me.

"Baby what's the matter?"

"I was up with Ronnie; she woke me up and told me that she couldn't sleep I brought her downstairs and made her a glass of warm milk. I didn't fall back to sleep until two o'clock this morning."

"Do you we should send Ronnie to school?" I asked.

"I don't think so because I'm not sure how much sleep Ronnie actually got." Shelly said softly.

I picked up my sleeping daughter and walked over to the recliner and sat down Shelly walked over to the recliner and covered us up. She left the living room I checked on Ronnie; she was still sound asleep. A few minutes later Ronnie was starting to stir she lifted her head from my chest.

"Daddy, I'm late for school."

"Your mom and I aren't sending you to school today because you couldn't sleep."

"I was going to ask you to walk me to class." Ronnie said.

"I'll walk you to class tomorrow when I take you to school." I replied.

She laid her head back down on my chest and snuggled in my arms I kissed Ronnie's head and stroked her hair.

"Babe, Ronnie breakfast is ready."

I pulled the blanket back Ronnie climbed off my lap and left the living room I got up from the recliner and left the living room. I entered the kitchen and joined Shelly and Ronnie at the table Shelly made eggs and bacon. After breakfast I walked upstairs to mine and Shelly's room and got dressed when I was finished getting dressed, I headed for the bathroom. When I came out of the bathroom Shelly was putting our pillows back on the bed.

"Where's Ronnie?" I asked.

"She went downstairs and I don't think Ronnie is happy that we kept her home from school." Shelly stated.

"I didn't want to send Ronnie to school and have her fall asleep in class."

I left the bedroom and walked downstairs I entered the living room Ronnie was sitting on the couch watching TV, I walked over to the couch and sat beside her.

"Your mom told me that you're not happy that we kept you home from school." I said gently.

"I wanted to go to school and see Maya because when I'm not there she doesn't have anyone to sit with or talk to." Ronnie sighed.

"Sweetheart, your mom made the suggestion not to send you to school because we didn't know how much sleep you actually got last night. And we didn't want you to fall asleep in class."

Ronnie snuggled up beside me and laid her head on my arm I wrapped my arm around her she laid her head on me. Shelly came into the living room and walked over to the couch she sat on the other side of me. Ronnie climbed off the couch she sat on the carpet and played with her baby dolls Shelly and I joined Ronnie on the carpet and played with her.

"Mommy where's Precious and Salem?" Ronnie asked.

"They are napping on your bed after I made your bed they jumped up on your bed and went to sleep." Shelly answered.

Later on, that night Shelly, Ronnie, and I were sitting on the couch watching The Disney Channel we were watching the cartoon Big City Greens, Ronnie crawled onto my lap and laid her head on my chest.

"Are you ready for bed?"

"Yes,"

I picked Ronnie up and got up off the couch I left the living room and carried Ronnie upstairs to her room with Precious and Salem following behind me. I walked into the room and carried her over to her bed I laid Ronnie down in her and tucked her in Salem and Precious jumped up on the bed and laid down. I handed Ronnie, her Jack and Sally dolls I kissed her forehead and turned off the lamp.

"Night, Night Ronnie." I said, heading for the door.

"Night, night daddy." Ronnie yawned.

I left the room closing the door softly behind me, I heard Shelly coming up the stairs she kissed me and headed for our room.

"Baby are you going to bed as well?"

"Yes, I am tired."

I followed Shelly into our room we climbed into bed I reached over and turned off the lamp I rolled over and snuggled up behind Shelly. I draped my arm across her and drifted off to sleep.
