Chapter 12

{Gaia's POV} 

When I woke up, I was snuggled up next to Chris he was still fast asleep I kissed his forehead and lightly stroked his cheek with the back of my index finger he was starting to stir Chris woke up and kissed me. 

"What are we going to do today?" 

"I have some errands to run. Why don't you and Ronnie have a father- daughter day?" 

"Sounds good to me." Chris said. 

"I think Ronnie will enjoy having a father- daughter day." I replied.  

Chris rolled onto his side facing me he gently pulled me closer to him and held me I felt my cheeks grow warm he lightly stroked my cheek with the back of his index finger and smiled I felt my cheeks get hot. 

"Babe what are you up to?"

"I'm thinking about rocking your world before Ronnie wakes up." 

Chris and I heard our bedroom door open we looked over and saw Ronnie come into the room she stood in the doorway. 

"Oops." Ronnie said leaving the bedroom and closing the door behind herself. 

"Ronnie come back sweetheart." Chris called. 

Ronnie opened the bedroom door and came back into the room she walked over to the bed and climbed up. 

"I'm hungry," 

"Your father and I will have breakfast with you." 

Ronnie climbed off the bed and left the bedroom I kissed Chris and got up out of bed I got dressed I put on a Muse t-shirt, black yoga pants, black Converse, I walked into the bathroom when I came out of the bathroom, I left the bedroom and walked downstairs I walked into the kitchen Ronnie was trying to open the freezer door. 

"Sweetheart what are you trying to do?" I asked. 

"I'm trying to open the freezer door to get some waffles." Ronnie said. 

I walked over to the fridge and opened the freezer door I looked in freezer and didn't see any waffles I closed the freezer door. 

"We're out of waffles I'll pick some up when I go to the grocery store. Would you like cereal instead?" 

"Yes please," 

I picked Ronnie up and placed her in her highchair I made Ronnie a bowl of cereal and placed it in front of her I made myself a bowl of cereal and sat down at the table Chris came into the kitchen he joined me at the with his bowl of cereal. After breakfast I washed up the breakfast dishes, I dried the dishes and put them away I left the kitchen and walked upstairs I walked into mine and Chris's room I grabbed my leather jacket and put it on I grabbed my purse and walked downstairs. Ronnie came downstairs with Chris, I knelt down to Ronnie's level she gave me a hug I hugged her back I rose to my feet and gave Chris a kiss. 

"Enjoy your father-daughter day." I said. 

"We will." Chris replied. 

I left the house I walked down to my SUV, I climbed behind the wheel I put the key into the ignition I started the engine I turned on the heater and drove away I turned into Target's parking lot and parked my SUV. I killed the engine I grabbed my purse and climbed out of the SUV, I walked inside Target and grabbed a shopping cart I bought laundry supplies, cleaning supplies, men and woman toiletries I went looking in the toy aisle for a doll house for Ronnie to put her dolls in I found a doll house for her. After I left Target, I put the shopping bags in the trunk I closed the trunk and returned the cart I climbed back inside my SUV, I put the key in the ignition I backed out of the parking spot and drove out of the parking lot and drove to the grocery store. When I arrived home, I parked in front of the house and killed the engine I grabbed my purse and climbed out of the SUV, I grabbed the groceries out of the backseat and walked up to the house I walked inside the house and sat the grocery bags on the kitchen table. I walked back out to my SUV and grabbed the shopping bags from Target I closed the trunk and walked up to the house I closed the storm door and closed the inside door and locked it I sat the bags by the stairs and walked into the kitchen. When I was finished putting away the groceries, I left the kitchen and hid Ronnie's birthday present in Chris's office I left his office and closed the door behind me I walked into the living room Ronnie was sitting in the recliner crying she got up out of the recliner and ran to me I bent down and picked her up she wrapped her little arms around my neck.
