(2021 a/n: i am currently in the process of rewriting many of the early chapters. there are a few things that i didn't care for and decided to change :))

I awoke slowly and peacefully from my nap, remembering where I was.

I was on a ship with a few other Jedi Padawans who were on there way to the trials. We were different than almost everyone else at the Temple. We possessed magic. The other padawans had magic because their parents were aliens, warlocks, witches, etc.  Although........I didn't know who my parents were, or why I had magic. I pushed a strand of my long, mahogany hair behind my ear and put an earbud in my ear, turning my music on, as I glanced out the window.

Suddenly, The ship lurched in seemingly three directions at the same. My head hit the seat in front of me, and I must have blacked out, because I didn't know what had happened.

When I awoke, I rubbed my forehead. "Ow....." I looked around to discover that my bag was still in the seat beside me, the window beside me was broken, my robes were singed and dirty, and most of the wall on the other side of the ship was....... Oh my gods! It was.....It was just....gone. I stood up, using magic to change my clothes (black leggings, a dark purple shirt, and a black leather jacket with purple accents), and I put the small black leather backpack on my back. I used my twin laser-swords to get myself out of the ship. I glanced around, seeking help, and searched the wreckage for three, maybe four hours?

I was heartbroken to find that I was the only survivor. The pilots were dead. My friends were dead. And to make matters worse, nothing was selvageable, not even the holo-transmitters. Everything was covered in blood, and the smell of decay and smoke was almost overpowering.

Soon, I decided on something. I couldn't stay. No-one was alive, and There was no reason to. There wasn't even food decent enough to eat. So, with that, I left. Looking back at the wreckage for the last time, I trekked into the vast jungle ahead.
