"Loki!" I yelled after him, "Loki!"

Finally he stopped and turned, a soft smirk playing on his lips.

"Loki!" I yelled again.

He chuckled and turned, continuing on towards Thor and Jane. I figured yelling was no use. I couldn't undo his magic either, he was stronger in magic than I was. And that was when I realized something. I didn't have my sabers.

You're doing amazing today, aren't you?

Shut up, you aren't helping.

So, what? You're just going to give up? You're just going to sit there and let him get himself killed? Are you just going to sit here and lose him again?

Anti, leave me alone.

Fine. Suit yourself.

I looked around for something I could use the cut the chains.

Have you tried freezing them?

I'm not a Frost Giant. I can't do stuff like that.

Yeah you can.

Huh?

That's what the book says. You can so do that. It's-

What book?!?!

There's a book in here, like a manual, lists out stuff you can do. It's relatively short actually....and highly disappointing.

Anti....

Right, sorry. According to this you can do standard elemental magic, so in theory you could freeze the chains and then they would burst.

But they're made of magic...?

And then there's that.

I closed my eyes and focused on a picture in my head. I imagined ice forming on the chains binding me to the ship. After a few moments a small surge of energy went through each of my hands. I opened my eyes to see small bits of ice curling around the chains on my wrists. They were small, but it was still something. I focused on them to the point that I was squinting. Finally, the thin layer of ice began to crack the chains. They released and fell to the ground with a loud clank.

Hehehe.

That was depressing to watch.

Shut up, Anti. We can work on it later.

Hearing an explosion, I followed the path I had seen the princes take, almost at a run. I skidded to a stop as I reached the level ground beneath the hill. I watched as Malekith absorbed the Aether.

It's too late.

He turned and began towards his ship, his monster and several elves right behind him. After a few steps, the monster turned back to us and pulled something from his belt. I ran forward, knowing what it was. He ignited the black hole grenade and threw it towards Loki.

Upon instinct I ran forward. Summoning energy from the Force, I jumped, grabbing him just before he got sucked in. We tumbled through the air, crashing into the rocky earth a few feet apart. I hurriedly got up, going to where he had fallen.

"You okay?" I asked, helping him up.

He panted, "You saved me?"

"What did I tell you about dying, Love?" I smiled, quoting him.

He smirked and held his hand out to me.

"Let's do this."
