My eyes fluttered open to find that Loki had already gone from the bed.

Of course.

I sat up, rubbing my tired eyes as I scanned the room for him. He was nowhere to be seen. I pulled myself out of bed, got dressed, and went to the window.

It was so bright and colorful here for a place of scavengers. For the first time since I had been here, I looked up towards the sky to see huge wormhole like things that were dumping trash on the shores below.

"Anything lost and unloved can be found here." The Grandmaster had said.

We had fallen out of the BiFrost, we may have become "lost." How else could we have gotten here?

Those must be portals that go all over the Nine Realms...

"Hey Sam?" I asked aloud.

The small eye floated out from his portal from behind me.

"Y'know it's a bit early for these things..." He yawned, shifting his form.

"Oh, I'm sorry, what time is it?" I asked, turning to face him,"I always forget that you like to sleep too."

"Time moves differently here, but I'd say around 9 a.m.? Give or take a half hour." He rubbed one of his eyes. "What was it you needed? I was in the middle of a good dream, so if you don't mind I'd like to-"

"Oh, you can go back to sleep in a bit, but I had some questions."

"Fire away." Sam said, laying down on the floor.

"Do you think we could take a ship through one of those holes and get out of here?"

"You never waste time, do you?" He said, massaging a spot on the side of his temple.

"Sam," I sighed.

"Alright, Alright. Yes, if the ship was strong enough then it might be able to withstand the geodetic strain, then in theory you could get through to wherever it leads."

"Aaaaaand how much shielding would I need to use in order to get a ship through?"

"Bloody hell Y/N, can you ask me in three hours when I'm actually awake?"

"Some help you are," I grumbled, turning to the window.

"Okay, okay." Sam stood. He places a hand on my shoulder as he rubbed his eyes. "I know where you're going with this. You know how much work you're going to need to put into her to even get her off the ground, though, don't you?"

"If you can bring the Falcon here, I'm sure we can find parts to repair her." I nodded out to the trash-ridden shores, "It is a junkyard after all."

"I'll do what I can." He yawned, "Do you want me to plug in the old droid?"

"Could you?" I asked, "That old R3 unit is a better mechanic than I am, even if he's not bright."
