POV is going to shift frequently during this chapter, and the next few. Sometimes it will be from a certain person, other times it will be third person, keep this in mind when reading. I'm sorry if this will be confusing but it is kind of important to show the warring personalities... because I don't want to rewrite the same chapter 9 times lol.

Luke POV

"Where the fuck is everyone?" Gabe shouted. He was sitting next to me staring at the door, wiling it to open. No one answered. We had been here for about 5 minutes, and we were still waiting on Mr. B and Sean. The day had been a total disaster in everyway and I was pretty sure it was my fault. It started off perfect, as most days did when I woke up with Sang in my arms, but it went down hill almost immediately. How had I been so stupid? Flaunting my boner like that?

I thought we were at a place with Sang where she wasn't afraid of us anymore. I mean, after North basically mauled her in the backseat, I figured we wouldn't all have to tip toe so much. But it's not as if I could help it? I can't really control my bodies reaction to her. I didn't try to do anything to her. But you didn't go out of your way to make her comfortable either. I slumped down further in the couch loathing myself. Was it really so terrible? Didn't she want me to want her? It felt like she wanted me. Wanted us. Frowning I looked over to North. He was leaning against the wall behind the couch, staring at the floor in front of him. He looked so sad.

Feeling my eyes on him, he looked up at me. Was this all my fault?  I asked him with my eyes. He shook his head slightly, but his eyes told a different story. He had no idea. He had come over to Sang's after school with Silas before heading over to the diner. She had locked herself in her closet space and wouldn't let more than one person in with her at a time. Somehow Victor got in there with her first. By time any of the rest of us thought to use the app to listen in on them, we found out that it had been disconnected. When North came into her room, Nathan was in the attic and Gabe was napping on her bed. Victor and I were playing cards on the floor in front of the attic door. North had taken one look at us and went to open the attic door, but Victor shifted in front of it.

"Sang doesn't want to talk to anyone but Nathan right now." Victor said in an even tone. North just glared at him, telling him to get out of his way. Victor just stared back, unmoved.

"Why the fuck is her phone off again?" North boomed, making Gabe and I wince. Victor just stared. "well, fucking answer me!" He bellowed. Victor's eyes went ice cold when the door opened and Sang stepped out. She placed her hand on his shoulder, and bent down whispering something in his ear. He relaxed slightly and nodded, but kept his eyes hard on North.

"Hi North Star."

"Sang Baby, why is your phone off?" North's voiced had dropped in volume and was a little gentler than it was before. But not gentle enough. Her shoulders tensed before she took a deep breathe.

"I'm trying to rest. I'm safe, and there are four people here with me. Is there a reason it needs to be on?" She asked quietly with so much patience it almost broke my heart. I could see the hurt in her eyes, but I wasn't sure what it was that was hurting her. He seemed at a loss for words. He wasn't expecting her to say anything like that. Seeing him struggling, she walked towards him, stopping right in front of him. It seemed like she wanted to hug him, but wasn't sure if she could. She was still so hesitant with us. Did she really not know that she could touch any of us at any time? Seeing her hesitate North opened his arms, inviting her in. She hugged him lightly, and pulled back quickly. "Have a good shift North Star. I will turn my phone back on when they leave." Then she turned and went back in the attic with Nathan, shutting the door behind her.
