Nathan POV

Mr. Hendricks thought what now? Unbelievable. This is exactly what I was worried about.

"Okay, so listen Peanut. You already know how I feel about everything right?" I paused, knowing she was going to nod, and she did. She nodded very slowly, as if she didn't want to answer, or didn't want me to keep going. Well, that was a problem because I was gonna keep going, but I gave her an apologetic smile to soften the blow.

"This is exactly one of the things I am worried about you shitheads." I looked around the room, making sure they knew I was yelling at them, not her. "We should not be letting people think that she is dating more than one of us. And we definitely shouldn't be confirming it!" My voice was starting to rise with my temper. What the hell were they thinking? Before I could keep yelling, Peanut cleared her throat to catch my attention. When I met her eyes she was glaring at me, similar to how she had this morning. It was adorable.

"I understand what you are saying Honey. But stop yelling at the room, the room didn't do anything. I did." Several people chuckled, including the jolly greek giant who was still sitting right in front of us. I scrunched up my brows, wondering what she could have possibly done.

"I had a meeting with Hendricks today, and I had to make some last minute decisions. One of those decisions, was to confirm his suspicions that North and I were doing a little bit more than chatting in the closet Tuesday." Red hot jealousy ripped through me as I shot my glare to North, who wasn't even fucking looking at me because he was too busy staring at Sang, probably remembering whatever they did in that closet.

"You said all you did was talk to her, North!" I seethed through my teeth. North dragged his eyes lazily to me, not at all fazed by my tone. His face was unreadable, but his eyes were warning me to get over it. I was gonna tell him to get bent, when I felt a soft chop on the back of my head, followed by a whoop of approval.

Turning my eyes back to Sang, I gulped. Her glare was not so adorable anymore.

"I said confirm his suspicions, Nathan. Not confirm the truth." She snapped, making me flinch. She's right. That is what she said. Was this just how I was going to feel now? Constantly jumping down all of their throats out of jealousy? "Listen Honey. It had to be done. And it worked exactly how I meant it to. It's over." And that was that apparently.

Stewing in so many negative feelings, I didn't know what else to say. But I had to keep trying.

"Peanut, we can't let people think you are dating more than Silas..."

She huffed and sat back, stopping my rant dead. She looked so tired, and I immediately felt horrible, just like I had last night when we were talking about their stupid dating plan. A few beats of silence passed before she sat up straight again, a scary determination in her eyes.

"Why not?" She shouted, as much as Peanut is capable of shouting. Everyone's eyes whipped to hers in shock at not only her volume but her words. When we didn't reply fast enough she kept going. "Why can't we let people think whatever the heck they want? We really can't control it anyway. And unless I stop hanging out with all of you at school, which I can't do because of Mr. Hendricks, then people are gonna assume what ever they assume. Look at Jade. There really isn't anything we can do about it. I'm not saying we should hang posters around school saying that we are all going steady, but seriously why do we care?"

I had barely processed the logic in everything she was saying, which was all very similar to what Victor had said during our meeting Monday, when her face scrunched up as if she was in pain. I don't know if everyone caught it, because it was gone in less than a second, but I saw it. Much less confidently, she continued.
