Mikuni hummed happily as he scrolled through the antique shop, rearranging things here and there according to his mood. He smiled proudly when he put yet another bottled ship on the shelf, thinking what an amazing talent his Jeje had for this activity. He had been in a cleaning mood since the day before, knowing his little brother was going to come specially to visit them had him overjoyed and since he knew the teen tended to be picky on cleanness he was actively working. Jeje had considered helping his eve but seeing the blonde was so thrilled and generally liked doing the arrangements himself he decided against it. Instead he just listened to his humming as he tried to interest himself with what he was reading. Turned out looking at Mikuni's graceful movements- how was he even graceful when cleaning was a wonder- was a far better distraction. He felt a bit envious of Misono for making his partner so happy, the fact that it was the mere announcement of his and Lily's visit that put him in such a good mood was unnerving to him. Because sure, he wanted nothing more than his eve's happiness, and had always admired Mikuni for caring so much about Misono, but he wished to be the only person the man would smile like that for. And of course it was in his nature to be jealous, having been bestowed with the sin of envy, but he felt ridiculous for envying the poor kid. All of love would say it was completly normal to be jealous when you love someone but for Jeje it was more extreme. Maybe a kind gesture from Mikuni before their arrival would ease his insecurities and bad feelings down.
Jeje stood from his chair, not trying to hide his presence in the slightest he walked to his eve and, being one hundrend percent certain he had noticed him but still didn't ask questions nor tried to move away he put his arms around him. And eventhough it looked like a simple thing to do, to just take what you need, as Mikuni himself said, it was a big effort on Jeje's part to do that. The blonde's humming turned quieter as he closed his eyes to appreciate the hug, turning enough to be able to return it. He knew his servamp had been staring, somewhat intently even, and he knew from experience that was what he did when he wanted something but didn't bother/dare asking.
-" What is it Jeje? Did you perhaps feel lonely? Do you carve for my attention that much? " The younger one asked grinning.
Jeje let out what sounded like a groan but his hold tightened ever so slightly. "Just... seizing an... opportunity while I can." He mumbled.
Mikuni genuinely laughed this time, shaking his head he looked at his servamp. He would have commented on the latter's shyness, in a teasing tone that would have pissed him off, as usual. That's what he would have done, if something wasn't getting on his own nerves. And that was: Jeje was wearing paper bags again. Oh sure, it was just as natural as breathing for the servamp to have those on his head, and strangely enough Mikuni had been attracted to him before even seeing his pretty face, but here was his point. Now that Jeje felt comfortable enough to take them off in front of him, he had kinda gotten his hopes up and wished he would wander around without that ridiculous attire more often. He would never think of sending him out without them, as he was quite content being the only person who could see it and still live (and he would never want to force that on him), but yeah. Getting to see his hot face during every moment shared just the two of them together would be awesome.
His arms wrapped around the taller one's shoulders, making him bend down to head level and Jeje knew what he wanted. He leaned in for a kiss but was stopped half way, which surprised him. Then he figured what Mikuni was going to ask, and he was still not certain how to feel about it. He didn't have the luxury to ponder on it for too long, though, since his patner's finger lightly brushed the bag covering his head, then feigned lifting it up. It was a mute request, and despite the airy and playful gesture Jeje very well knew how to recognize a serious Mikuni. There again, he could say 'no' and the eve would drop the subject, tease him to no end with an often annoying smirk only he could master, and that would be it. It was how the 'games' had always been played between them. And yet, Jeje didn't know what, but something was different. Something told him it was fine to take them off. He could take plenty of guess, but if he had to decide he would bet it was because of his will to please his eve. And maybe for himself. Because really, the only reason he hid was his astonishing lack of confidence. So if he could get over it, at least enough not to need them when he was with the person he loved and cherished, he would be willing to try.
-" Fine, but I'm putting them back here after that." He indulged.
Mikuni's expression was so bright, he thought it was a good compromise. Perhaps one day he wouldn't need them anymore, who knew. At the moment he let his heart, soulmate and treasure free him from this shell he put himself in, enjoying the gentleness he used to do so and the softness of his lips. In a way, the blonde had also been considerate from the beginning. Despite what one could think of their relationship, they had both always showed concern for each other. And of course, it was Jeje who protected and comforted him all the time, but Mikuni had other special ways to prove he cared. Understanding was part of it. The pranks, too, although they were mostly annoying. It was part of their dynamic so he grew accustomed to them. And it may sound weird, but he actually liked it. Most importantly, Mikuni accepted and loved him. So he was fine dealing with this manchild of an eve, and to hell with those who couldn't understand them.
When they parted away and the blonde smiled at him in a silent 'thank you', Jeje was sure he had made the right choice, and he thought he should definitly be able to work on that. For now, however, he would wear them. The knock on the door seemed uncalled for, ridiculous, even, as it was technically a shop. He wasn't going to complain, though. Perhaps Lily thought about their intimacy, and suggested they knocked before coming in. Or perhaps it was because of the placard spelling 'closed' on the door. That didn't matter to Jeje. He was glad because his eve was still the only one who had seen his face, thanks to that. And if they both were happy with it, then he couldn't ask for more.
