She let go of me to unlock the door and we stepped in. I took a seat at one of the front desks and she grabbed the kit before rolling over to me in her big chair.

"How did you trip?," she asks taking out some rubbing alcohol, gauze to clean, and a few band-aids. My face got red as I told her that I tripped over the cone because I was looking at her. "So you're calling me a distraction" she said with a smirk dangling on her lips. It caught my attention, not only because of her red lipstick but her lips looked so soft. I smiled.

"Basically yeah, you're a huge distraction," I joked but I really meant it. My eyes went down to the gauze that had already absorbed some alcohol. She brought it up to my scrapes and I hissed a little. She looks up at me.

"I'm sorry." I shake me head.

"No, it's fine it doesn't hurt too bad after a bit," I reassure her. We sat in silence again looking at each other and I just couldn't take it anymore. The feelings, the anger, the ignorance.

"Why don't you just stop being awkward and mad towards me," I blurt. She looks surprised.

"I'm no-." I cut her off before she can finish.

"I see the way you've looked at me when I'm with Esme and I know you don't like it. If you don't, why don't you do something about it instead of being a bitch about the situation. If you want me come get me," I said in a more aggressive tone than I'd meant. I was inching closer to her face as I had already made why way around the desk towards her. She was leaning so far back in her chair I thought she'd fall. Her long legs were crossed one over the other and exposed with that skirt that ended at her middle thigh. Lauren looked mad and surprised at the same time. Our faces were only centimeters away. My eyes went down to her lips and I could feel her breath on mine. She was nervous and I could feel it. "What am I even doing."

"Screw you," she said. Her lips came crashing onto mine. They're just like I imagined they'd be. So soft, warm. "I really needed this" We lose ourselves in the kiss before I pull back. "But you sai-" I get cut off.

"I know what I said, but I don't care I have to be with you no matter what."

"But-"

"Shut-up" she breathes out as she leans in for another long passionate kiss. Our tongues dance together for a bit until we pull back to catch our breath and take in the events that just happened. Foreheads pressed on each others, I rub my nose on hers and brush our lips together one last time. She smiles.

"Don't do that," I say.

"Do what?"

"Smile," I reply. " It makes my knees weak and makes me want to kiss you even more." She laughs at what I say. "Stop your laughter hits even harder." I pull her down for another kiss. The bell rings and we jump apart. Lauren fixes her lipstick quickly before walking over to open the door and let the class in. Esme came in almost last. She took one look at me and had a confused look, for the rest of class she didn't even look at me. After the bell rang I was grabbing my stuff as she stopped me.

"Sandra," she said, I turned.

"Yeah?"

"Do you care to explain why you have lipstick on your chin and above your lip. I know you don't wear any." I shot a quick glance at Lauren, she was already staring and reaching for her water. Esme didn't notice. I turned back to Esme trying to think quickly.

"Sure, I can explain why." I said. She stood there in front of me with her arms crossed, eyes glued on mine. She raised her eyebrows as if to say 'go on'. "I kissed someone else, if it wasn't obvious enough." Lauren choked on the water she was drinking and the fire in Esme's eyes grew. She turned to look at Lauren, in that moment I started shitting bricks because I thought she'd put all the pieces together. Luckily that wasn't the case.

"Sorry Ms. James, but can you please step outside for a bit?" Lauren looked taken aback.

"But, it's my classroom," she said. Esme scoffed and grabbed the collar of my shirt. She began dragging me out of the class but Lauren stood. "I'm going to intrude here and say this is inappropriate behavior you can't touch another student like that." Esme turned to her now fully enraged.

"Look, she's my girlfriend not yours and I have a few things I wasn't to discuss with her." Lauren's eyes widened in anger. For a minute I thought she was going to slap the shit out of Esme right then and there but she didn't. I tried to loosen her grip on me but it didn't work.

"Let her go Esme or I'll be forced to take you down to the office and neither of us want that now do we?" she said in a dead voice, Lauren looked defensive in this moment. Esme let me go and took a deep breath. She started walking towards the door when she turned on her heels and slapped me. Pain shot up and down my cheek. "I guess I deserve that". With that she went out the door. Lauren ran to lock it before turning to me.

"Damn, she hits hard." She came over to me and snaked an arm around my waist as she hugged me close to her. Her chin rested on my shoulder and again I took her in. Lauren was like my own personal healing leaf. I can go to her and immediately feel better. Her smell, her voice, her touch, her movements, her laugh, all of it. Those things somehow just got to me, I loved every part of her and the best thing was I could now hold her as mine.

"You ok?,"she asks with her head buried in my neck. I pull back and hold her at arms reach. My eyes look her over everywhere and I smile.

"I'm just fine."
