You light me up

WHAT THE HELL DID YOU TWO DO?!

"Please call me Chris, I prefer it," she said before getting into her car and pulling out the driveway. With one last wave she was gone and I went inside. The whole day was spent cuddling and watching movies together. It wasn't long before Mae and Kara arrived with loud knocks. I opened the door and neither of them waited for me to ask for alone time; they just walked in and went straight for Lauren's couch. Lauren eyed them.

"Long day?" she raised a brow.

"You have no idea, but anyways Kara has a question to ask you two." Kara gave Mae a side eye. Something tells me this wasn't her idea but I listened anyways, making my way next to Lauren. We waited for Kara to speak and I could see her face turn unbelievably red. She looked from Mae to me.

"We were just wondering if we could have a um.. A..."

"SLEEPOVER BABY!!" Mae yelled, cutting off Kara.

"Ahh guys I don't know," I said rubbing the back of my neck. Mae looked at Kara.

"What she means to say is YESS", and with that Mae ran out of the house,returning moments later with a ton of bags in her hands. "You guys gonna sit there and watch me struggle oooor are you gonna help a girl out."Kara helped right away and I slowly made my way over. After all the sleepover supplies were put away Mae started making brownies. I have to admit it was very fun spending the night with all my favorite people. Both Mae and Kara fell asleep as we were watching "The Notebook" which was Mae's choice by the way because she says "If you can't have a relationship of your own might as well feed off someone else's". Lauren and I made our way upstairs and fell asleep.

*****Next morning

"GUYS GUYS WAKE UP!!" Kara and Mae yelled in union. Lauren sighed at the sudden outburst of energy.

"Your children are awake,"she groaned in her groggy state.

"WE HAVE A SURPRISE FOR YOU!!" Mae yelled jumping onto the bed.

"Before sunrise,they're your children," I muffled out, putting a pillow over my head. Eventually they managed to get us out of bed and when we got downstairs , well lets say it would have been and understatement to say we were shocked.

" WHAT THE HELL DID YOU TWO DO!!", I yelled as I felt my stomach turning with unease. Lauren was pacing and I looked her dead in the eye. She stopped.

"Don't look at me it's past sunrise these are your kids now, I need coffee," she pointed at us as an offering which we all accepted. I walked closer to the little carrier on the floor. She was adorable was all I could say in this moment. What we were going to do with her I don't know yet. I turned to Mae and Kara who were standing side by side with hopeful eyes and I knew exactly what they were doing. I started shaking my head.

"No,no,no,no, guys you know we can't. This is crazy, we don't even know where she came from. This could be dangerous for all of us. Please think about what you're asking us to do here." Mae pouted.

"Ok fine let's be rational, we could always call Christen to have a quick check up" I nodded.

"You're right I'll have Lauren give her a call." When Lauren came back with coffee we all took our own and watched silently as she told Christen to come over prepared for a check up. A few moments later there was a knock at the door. Lauren went to get the door, she didn't come back right away however. When she did she was panicking.

"Did Christen pull a gun on you or what?" Mae asked looking at her.

"It's not Christen, it's Kalie quick all three of you go hide." With that we grabbed the carrier, scrambled to our feet and made a run for the nearest room. It was the bathroom and we just stood behind the door. We could hear nothing but muffled noises for a while. The door was heard opening and another muffled voice was greeted.Christen must have just got here. Foot steps were heard coming towards us and we jumped into the shower. It was quiet for a bit, until Mae sniffled a bit too loudly. The shadow behind the curtain was growing closer and we knew we'd been busted. Without another thought the curtain swooshed open revealing a very frightened Christen.

"What the hell gu-" she came to a stop as she saw the carrier in Kara's hands. Her eyes widened and she pointed at it. "What the he-" footsteps were approaching I grabbed Christen put my hand over her mouth and Mae closed the curtain.

"I could have sworn she came this way," I heard Kalie say. "Anyways I should get going thanks for clearing that stuff up with me Lauren." With that she left and Lauren walked into the restroom whipping the curtain aside. There stood the four of us with my hand still over Christens mouth. We made our way back to the living room and sat the carrier down. Christen had questions, and we were gonna have to answer them.

"Ok, question time, let's start with why the hell Kalie was here in the first place."All eyes shifted over to Lauren.

"She genuinely seemed off if I'm going to be honest, but she only came to ask how I was feeling after everything."

"Well yesterday she made it very clear to me shes got her eye one me so we have to be careful." The girls nodded.

"You're right the last thing we need is for Kalie to find out about you two." Christens head snapped up. She raised her hand and everyone turned to her.

"Two things, one are we just going to ignore the fact that a little something is right over there,"she said pointing to the carrier. "And two, why can't this Kalie person find out about you two?" she said motioning towards Lauren and I. Oh crap we forgot she didn't know, could we trust her. Well if I trust her with Lauren's health I could trust her with this. I looked at Lauren for approval and she was already looking at me.
