"I'm sorry about what I said to you, I didn't mean it," I looked at her.
"It's ok I know where you're coming from," I reassured her.
"I just don't want this baby to end up with bad parents like mine, I don't want her to have to go through what I did growing up never being enough, or cared for. It was your mom who actually raised me and I never even got to thank her for that," She put her arm around my shoulder and we sat there for a while. We passed the bottle until there was no more before we even thought about getting up to go to bed, by then it was 3 am. I got into bed only to have Mae lay down on the bed next to me. "Uuuuh, whatcha doin there?" She pulled the cover up to her chin.
"I'm too lazy to walk across the hall so im crashing in your bed."
"Ok," I said before going to bed between her and Lauren. The rest of the night was quiet as we slept.
"RISE AND SH-"
"Diaz if you finish that sentence, I will get up and make you regret it," Lauren muffled aggressively from her pillow.
"Seriously, you're a teacher. Shouldn't you be a morning person,"
"Mae," Lauren warned. "Wait what the hell are you even doing in here?" she said pushing herself up onto her elbows causing hair to fall to her face.
"I slept here,"
"What?!"
"Yeah, I slept right next to Sandra," Lauren shook her head. "So what's on the agenda for today?"
"Uh, we get a free four hours before we have to get to the airport."
"So we can just chill here if we want?" Lauren nodded in response.
"But first, coffee," she said. As if on cue, Chris and Kara walked in holding enough coffee mugs for all of us. I walked quickly over to Chris and grabbed the third mug she was balancing carefully.
"Thanks," I smiled at her.
"So, is it safe to talk about the baby now?" Kara asked.
After a lot of discussion we all came into agreement that one way or another we had to get that baby. We first had to figure out who'd adopt her out of Lauren or Chris and after that we'd all share responsibility. We'd become a small family of women in a way. Kara keeps saying she doesn't want a partner right now and she'd think about it in later time. Whole we were talking we hadn't realized our four hours were over and it was time to head back home. After arriving back at the school parking lot the principle pulled us together and told everyone that our caps and gowns were to be passed out to us before we left. Graduation was tomorrow at 5 and I was more than ready to end everything. After receiving our gowns we all parted and went home. I was sitting on Lauren's couch and she was in the kitchen preparing popcorn for a movie. We were going to watch "Boys don't cry" a really sad movie.
"Hey, have you unpacked your stuff yet?" I looked at her from the couch then to my luggage by the door.
"No, I haven't really been over to my house yet." I laughed.
"Well, I was thinking," She said before stopping.
"Yeah?" She looked up from the popcorn bowl and made direct eye contact with me.
"I was thinking maybe, you could unpack here."
"That's actually a good Idea, then I won't have to go back and fo-," I stopped and looked at her. "Wait, are you asking me to move in with you?" I said standing up and walking over to her.
"Uh, I mean,"she cleared her throat. "O-only if you want to." I smiled and brought my hand to her face before pulling her into me.
"I want to," I said smiling. I took her hand and guided her to the couch where I laid my head on her chest while we started the movie.
