She got up and handed me my phone. I dialed Sandra's phone number but went straight to voice mail. "Damn."

"Everything ok?" she asked. I nodded my head at her then looked around the room. It was mint colored, my clothes sat at the back on top of a counter.

"Guess I'm gonna have to get a new jacket huh." She laughed.

"Actually, I sent you're clothes in to be dry cleaned then brought it back here." I was genuinely shocked, do nurses do that?

"Wow, uh you didn't have to do that." Taking the wet cloth to the sink she turns her back to me and takes off her gloves.

"For someone like you, I'm glad I get to do it."

SANDRA'S POV*****

Kara stared between Mae and I with wide eyes. She seemed to be mauling something over in her head.

"You two live in Washington?" We nodded, " As in Washington D.C. or Seattle?" Mae laughed.

"You really think we'd come all the way from D.C just to see-" I nudges her stomach, "I mean of course we'd come all this way for you but no, we're from Tacoma Washington. It is near Seattle though." Kara nodded before looking around the living room. I grabbed her arm, I didn't want this to seem like peer pressure for her.

"Kara, you don't have to come just because we ask you to. If you want to stay we won't mind, all we wanted was to get to know you." She shot me a small smile.

"I'm tired of being here by myself, I think Tacoma would be a good change for me but uh, where would I live?" I got up quickly and smiled widely.

"With me of course,"this made her smile. Mae stood pulling us into a group hug.

"I'm definitely moving in with all you." I laughed.

"Hey, we have the room so feel free." Once our giddiness was over, all three of us got packing. Kara decided she would rent the small house to a family she knew who needed it.

"It's getting late now," she said.

"Yeah we should head back to the hotel, then pack in the morning," Mae said.

"Or..... you guys could go bring your stuff from the motel and stay here tonight, we could catch up." Kara was beaming with hope.

"Of course, we can't leave our sister alone," I smiled. I felt so close to her already, I didn't care if we weren't related she's my sister. Mae and I jumped into the car and went off to the hotel. She was blasting music so loud I thought my ears were going to give up on me.

It's been a few days already with Kara. We helped her pack and got to know each other in the process, she and Mae get along really well and I'm glad. Our flight is later today and I couldn't be happier. My phone will finally be getting a charger because I decided to buy one at the airport later on in the day. I couldn't go one more day without it and we hadn't had time to go to the store for one. After lunch we piled Kara's things in the car and she bid farewell to her house and the young family that would be renting it. Stepping foot in the airport I found the closest store and bought a charger.

"Wait we never bought my ticket how am I supposed to leave?" Kara asked sadly. Mae reaches into her bag and pulls out three plane tickets and flaunts them around. Kara's eyes widen again. "How did you know I'd say yes?" I laughed handing her a ticket.

"I didn't." From there we boarded our plane and I asked the flight attendant if they had chargers on the plane.

"They should be near your seat,"she said and guess what they were. Plugging my phone in I gave it a few minutes to reach 5% before I could turn it on. I had a missed calls and messages from some people but also three missed calls from Lauren. I immediately called her back.

LAUREN'S POV*****

Being stuck in the hospital for a few more days after I woke up so that they could make sure I was ok was completely BORING. All I got to do was lay around and eat Jello. I had made a few more calls to Sandra but got no response. My nurse whose name is Christen by the way sensed my uneasiness. She hasn't taken a day off since I came in, she hadn't even gone home through the nights. That's job dedication.

"Lauren," I looked up and met Christen's eyes.

"Yeah?," she smiled. I raised a brow.

"You can go home today, but you will need to take it easy your leg is still healing and you can't carry things because of your arm. You also can't drive so you'll need someone to take you home. And finally the cut on your face will heal but you'll have a scar." I threw my head onto my pillow.

"I don't want scars." I sighed. Christen took a seat near the bed.

"You'll have scars, Lauren. One on your leg, one on your arm, and the one on your face. But it's ok, some people dig scars," she smirked at me. I ran a hand through my hair.

"So when can I go home?"

"As soon as you get a ride home you're free to go." Sandra was in Utah so I didn't have a ride.

"I kinda have no one to take me home, I'm new to Tacoma." She nodded and started packing my things. I furrowed my brows.

"What are you doing?"

"I'm taking you home," she said. As she finished she packed another bag with bandages and pain killers before walking over to me. "Come on, I'll help you up."

"You don't have to," I protested.

"Too bad I'm doing this." Before I could protest once more I was being wheeled into a car. I gave her directions to my home and she helped me in slowly.

"Thank you, again. I'm sorry you had to do this." She shook her head.

"Nonsense I wanted to do this, now. Do you have someone coming or are you here alone?" I looked down, blood rushing to my face.

"My girlfriend, she's in Utah." Something hit her but she shook it off.

"Ok, well I can stay a bit. I'll make something to eat, I'm sure you're as tired of jello as I am of feeding it to you." I laughed.
