Under the fresh winter snow
A young rose dared to grow
Peeking her red petals out
She began to doubt
Slowly she disappeared under the snow
And hoped for spring when she could grow
She hoped for spring and the warm sunshine
When she could become friends with the great pines
And after months of hoping for spring
Her petals began to sing
And the young rose smiled
For her hope of spring had entered the wild
