Under the glow of the rising sun
Dance two friends
Just having some fun
Down where the river bends
Sand flies from under their feet
And the girl is lifted off the ground
Her shoes and the water meet
Without a sound
Fading stars reflect in her eyes
Her laughter like honey
Reaches for the skies
Ever so sunny
A smile is painted on her face
And the boy matches it
As he lifts her with grace
The waters starts to split
With the movements of the friends
And they share a quick kiss
Before leaving the river bend
But this moment they will never miss
Their shadows entwined
Their hands held high
They raced to the place where the sun is blind
To the place where they could touch the sky
Across the river's restless path
Under the shade of the thickest trees
Away from the sun's wrath
With the wind's gentle breeze
Sat the friends with open hearts
Their hands not far apart
Their love for each other off the charts
