From dawn to noon I wait
For a friend to come
He greets me with a smile
And til night we play
Joy floods my body
And sadness is washed away
Yet it soon returns
As my friend waves goodbye
Guilt overwhelms me
And the world starts to spin
Will this friendship be the end?
He is a new friend
One I speak to every day
While I avoid old friends
For it's me they despise
Is this friendship the final straw?
That pulls me away from my old friends
Something tightens around my leg
Like a rope pulling me back
My eyes cloud
My heart races
Is this friendship the end?
