Three friends stood on the shores of the ocean
Enjoying the waves and their soothing motion
But as the sun began to set
One friend began to fret
He left his friends
And disappeared around the sandy bends
The other two watched him leave
And began to grieve
Their tears formed a small river
And the girl began to shiver
But her friend turned away
And began to stray
All alone on the sandy shore
She lay down on the beach's top floor
And hoped that her friends would return
Her heard began to yearn
For the friends who were gone
But as the sky gave away to dawn
Two shadows raced across the sand
Leaping to her feet she watched the land
As the two friends returned at last
They told her of the times past
And together they created new memories
Their hearts feathery
They stayed side by side
Through the laughter and the tears they cried
They kept their bond as strong as mountains
And their loyalty flowed like a fountain
Nothing could separate the three friends
Not even when their lives came to an end
For friendship and loyalty bound their hearts
And could withstand the sharpest dart
