Broken and betrayed
Are my feelings towards a friend
A friend whose words once brought me joy
Friends for life I thought we were
Misunderstood and hurt
Lost among a sea of fake friends
Trapped in a world of broken dreams
And painful words
I cry out to my friend
But all his words do are destroy me
They crush my spirit and shatter all trust
With no time to explain the truth
His words hurt more than a knife to the heart
Defending him was something I used to do
But even that makes my eyes become teary
For his once kind words are now filled with hatred
And a loss of many friends ripples through my life
